VAMPS: MONO / FULL BLOOD
• Vampires, whom have been transformed by another vampire, have only half the strength as full bloods (vampires born from vampires)
• Half blood vampires; Half-monovamp
• Full blood vampires; Monovamps / Elders

SOULMATES

• they can't feel pain, but can only be hurt by their soulmate (or when their soulmate is hurt) or by other vampires
• Pain is more extreme when caused by the soulmate, it can be excruciating
• Every vampire is born to fall in love with a certain person (vampire or not) - they begin to embed themselves in their soulmates memories and controls when they appear in their dreams or thoughts. They basically take control of the persons mind, thoughts, future and past.
• The vampire cannot die until they find our soulmate; when they find their soulmate, they lose their immortality
• They get very emotionally attached to their soulmates- if the soulmate is ever hurt, or feels sadness, the other will often feel it too
• They cannot part from their soulmate; they do not hold the ability to fall out of love with them. Distancing both people will only draw the two closer, because they have a hold on each other. It is something that cannot be controlled.
• Both soulmates will die if one soulmate is killed - they quiet literally die from a broken heart: their heart rips in two from the emotional trauma of losing their other half.
• When one soulmate summons the other one when they are apart, the soulmate will feel the other thinking about them, and will return to their side - this is called Paethakenisis, often referred to as Paetha.

ANATOMICAL
• Vampires have slower heartbeats, therefore are born with two hearts that collectively beat at the average speed of heartbeats per minute
• Their blood is naturally thicker and richer in health; because they are so healthy, their blood can instantly heal wounds and sickness
• They do not hold the ability to carry cancer in their bodies or any life-threatening diseases
• Their eyes change colour; reason Unknown. It is said to threaten the opposition or to ward off the unwanted.
• They can last weeks without human blood; they can easily live off animal blood
• Euphoric sensations are much more pleasuring as their sex organs are fully functional

RELATIONSHIPS

DARK SIDE / PURE SIDE
• There are two branches of vampires: The dark side, and the Pure side. All Dark vampires are in hiding- it is not certain how many there are, but it is estimated there is 2x more Dark vampires than there is Pure vampires. It is very rare, but some vampires are born both dark and pure.
• They are called quarter bloods.

TRANSITIONS
• The act of transitioning from human to vampire (the process takes up to approximately a week) is called Caelionation - referred to as Caelio.
• After the week of Caelionation is over, the vampire will return to the place where Caelio took place, and will undergo the second transition- this is where they will be paired to either the Pure side or the Dark side- this is determined by the deepest parts of their minds which they cannot control.
• If they do not return to their place of transaction, their power will drain and they will fall immortal, but no longer a vampire- their connections (including family, friends or soulmates) will cease, and they will live forever, because it is impossible to drain immortality from an individual, vampire or not.

STEREOTYPES
• Contrary to stereotypes, they aren't cold, nor do they sparkle in the sunlight
• vampires could easily disguise as "normal" human beings, that's what make them so dangerous and so unique

• They don't sleep in coffins
• they can see their reflections
• They aren't as dangerous as horror films portray them, they can be completely harmless
