(Breakers by Gem Club is a very beautiful song and I highly recommend it !!) hope you guys like the chapter, it's a bit weird ?? Like I don't really like it that much, but I hope you guys do!

The noises outside gently woke me, the open window blowing the cool air onto my face. I heard the voices of Katy and Dad downstairs, their morning routines in play as they had breakfast.

I opened my eyes, blinking slowly as my eyes adjusted to the light of the room. My senses kicked in as I sat up, realising the space beside me was empty. Calum's body, far from beside me. I felt disappointment bubble away from inside me, but I reminded myself that it was probably best he'd left before I woke up. Otherwise, many things could've happened- my parents could've walked in, or I could've refused to let him leave.

I stood up slowly, stretching and letting out a tired yawn. Thank god it was the weekend, or I would have been dead at school.

I tied my hair up as I slowly walked to the door, wanting to settle my tumbling stomach. And since I could smell the familiar smell of pancakes, I knew there would be some left over. Not going to lie, dad made the best pancakes ever.

The second I entered the kitchen, the two of them looked up at me. I warmly smiled.

"Good morning." I said, earning confused looks from the both of them. I was never a morning person, but sleeping all night with Calum beside me, had put me in an incredible mood this morning. I felt the happiest I'd ever been in a while.

"Morning... You seem in a good mood."

"I am." I said, not wanting to hide the fact I'd woken up happy. It was such a rare occasion.

"Is there any leftover pancakes?" I asked before anyone said a word. I looked up at dad, walking over to the kettle and turning it on. He nodded, gesturing to the plate on the bench.

"They're still hot."

"Yay, thank you." I said, pouring some coffee and sugar in to a mug.

"So, you're still coming tonight, right?" Dad said, glancing up from the paper he hand clutched in his hands. I nodded, suppressing a groan as I realised I was gonna be stuck with Katy for most of the night.

"Good. Make sure you wear something more... Ladylike."

"More ladylike?" I snorted, looking up at him after I'd poured the hot water in to the mug. Dad nodded, tilting his head to look at me. I watched as his eyes trailed down from my eyes, lower. I wondered what he was looking at.

"What've you got on your neck?"

I furrowed my eyebrows at his question. Dad placed his magazine down, taking a step closer to me. He slid his glasses down from the bridge of his nose.

I took a step back, hating the close proximity.

"Is that... What I think it is, Stella?" He snapped, voice hardening. I slightly jumped at his harsh tone, placing my hand over my neck, blocking whatever he was staring at, from his view.

"What?" I asked.

"If that is a hickey on your neck, so help you, I will-"

"I-it's not! It's not a hickey!" I quickly interrupted, covering the supposed hickey from my father. Silence overtook us as he stared at me, his features hardening. Katy sat there, silent, as she watched us without saying a word.

Suddenly, dad reached out, grabbing my wrist and tugging my hand away from my neck. I hissed in pain, as he refused to let go, eyes inspecting the mark on my neck.
