I ran my fingers along the hem of the sheets, searching for a body beside me. My tired eyes remained closed as I slowly felt around the empty space. The early morning sun shone through the open window, illuminating the space around me. But still, I looked for the brown eyed boy beside me.
My eyes opened as I let out a groggy groan, my voice strangled from only just waking up. I rolled onto my back, glancing at the alarm clock. It read 8:07.
"Shit," I suddenly spoke, jumping up from my spot on the comfy bed. I moved to my feet, hurriedly tearing off my layers of clothes. One by one, the clothes dropped to the floor. And one by one, I tugged one my normal clothes. I slipped my jumper on, groaning under my breath as I tried to pull on my skinny jeans, struggling to do up the stubborn buttons.
The second I was dressed, I tugged on my converse and raced out of the room. My bag laid at the start of the staircase, I pulled my hair to the side to plait it after I managed to gather my bag and it's contents.
Dad and Katy sat at the breakfast table, eating in silence like they usually did, as I raced into the room. They both looked up at me.
I grabbed my headphones, adjusting my clothes as I glanced out the window.
"Fuck." I exhaustedly cursed, watching as the bus pulled up to its stop. I quickly ran out of the house, slamming the door shut as I sprinted towards the parked bus. Thankfully, the driver spotted me and kept his doors open as I hurriedly ran towards it.
The second I stepped into the bus, relief flooded me. Thank god, I caught it in time. I tagged on, tiredly falling into the empty seat beside me.
I sat there, heavily breathing as I tried to collect my messy thoughts and steady my breathing. My heart would not settle in my chest from the adrenaline, I was all of a sudden more exhausted than I felt after waking up.
After calming myself down, I pulled out my headphones and plugged them into my phone. I played music that would help me calm down, my fidgety body somewhat relaxing as I heard the familiar tune surge through my body. I let out a steady breath, my eyes closing as I eventually steadied myself.
The second the bus was brought to the school campus, I got off the bus as soon as I could. I clutched my bag, glancing around as I searched for the one boy who'd captivated my heart. I was dying to see him after last night. See, after quickly making a run for it from dinner, we spent hours slowly wandering back home, hand in hand. Because I realised something; I never needed my fathers approval to be with Calum. I didn't need it because we were more than just one single persons acceptance, we didn't need a  seal of approval to feel more at ease with the relationship. My father was never going to come to terms with that, and it was okay. Because I was in love with Calum, and that's the only thing that truly mattered. My father was never going to take that away from me, no matter how hard he tried.
I suddenly felt hands grip my waist, an arm wrapping around my body. His broad shoulders enveloped me as I softly laughed, a smile on my face from the contact.
"Good morning, my beautiful lady." Calum said, his low voice sending a thrill of excitement through my body. God, I missed this man more than anything. And hearing his low, rough voice sent shivers across my body- it was one of the hotttest things I had ever heard to this day. I don't think I could ever grow tired of hearing it.
"Good morning." I smiled, looking up at him. Calum smiled back, his hands pressed into my body as we slowly began walking towards the hallway.
"How did you sleep?" He asked, fingers grazing down to my back. I softly shrugged in return, glancing around the hallway before looking back up at him.
