First of all....
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE. 3 months is ridiculous I know and I'm so sorry I didn't update on time!!!
Y'all would not believe the series of unfortunate events that I've just gone through. I hope you all understand, I love you guys !!!

The look on Stella's face as we arrived at the home was one I was expecting. I knew she'd been underestimating how safe and how real this house was, her thoughts had been running miles the entire day. Her nerves and anxieties got the best of her, but as usual, she instilled her trust in me and let me lead her somewhere unknown.

This house and its security was the least I could do for her. After all, she blindly followed me far into the woods and trusted me with every step. And although this was temporary, -this house was only ours for however long she wanted it- she already felt at home. Her blue eyes studied the rooms as if she'd already done it a thousand times, and she wandered the halls as if every moment before each was non existent. I saw my Stella become alive.

It's liberating, to say the least. I was no longer under the control of the city, it was just me and Calum alone. In this very moment, no body knows if we exist besides us. The city isn't looking down on us, following our every move, my father isn't barging in and telling me how to live my own life. I am myself and it is the only thing that matters.

I could physically see how relaxed she'd become, her shoulders were lowered and her blue eyes were shining. Maybe she hadn't let the gravity of the situation hit her, but she sure as hell was in her environment. This was a side I'd never seen to her, and it was excruciatingly beautiful in every way possible.

I entered the master bedroom, gently stopping in my tracks as I looked at the view in front of me. Her long hair was pulled to one side as she plaited it out of her way, legs folded out in front of her, a book in hands. She was something so truly magnificent, that at times, I felt as though my own eyes were deceiving me.

Stella looked up at me as I walked to the bed, her eyes softening as she saw me.

"What're you reading?" I asked, sitting beside her. She shrugged, shutting it and moving it away.

"Just something I found in the cupboard."

But I caught a glimpse at what exactly she was reading. Inner Workings of Supernatural Minds: Vampires. This book was mostly faithful to what we are. Most novels and movies perceived us as blood-thirsty, demonic, repulsive creatures that walked the earth in a different way than most. But this was the one book, written by a Vampire, that was faithful to what we are. It was accurate. And it had me wondering why Stella was reading it.

"Inner Workings, huh? What're you reading that for." I asked, moving closer to her. A small, shy smile crossed her lips.

"I don't know... it was just there."

"So do you understand how my mind works yet?" I lightheartedly said, causing her to laugh under her breath.

"Didn't need a book to figure it out." She quietly said.

"Hm, so you've got me all figured out now, do you?"

"I don't know," she replied. "Do I?"

I couldn't help but chuckle, shifting even closer to her. She smiled, tucking her legs up to her chest as she continued to look at me.
