(also this photo made me nut)

Everything around me felt damp and uncomfortable, my back ached and I had a raging headache. I hadn't felt this kind of pain in so long.
Slowly, I forced my eyes to open, prying my lids apart and letting myself adjust to the light. I saw unfamiliar shapes and figures, I almost thought I'd woken up into a bad dream. This is what it felt like- a terrible, lucid dream.

I laid against the cement, slowly blinking as I steadied my breath, the realisation settling in that this most definitely was not a figment of my imagination. I was really here, in god knows where.

"Stella." I heard Calum breath from beside me, hand moving to my waist. It was comforting to hear his voice, but I was too droopy to really show how thankful I was to hear his voice. I had so many things on my mind. The dominating one being where the fuck was I, on repeat in my mind.

Using all the willpower I had left, I slowly sat up, flinching as I applied pressure on my wrist. It ached so bad to some unbeknown reason to me. I sat up with the guide of Calum's hands, his eyes staring at me intently. But I paid no attention, I just looked around the room.
Grey, mouldy walls captures us in, a silver door at the left side of the room. One crusty, damp bed was mounted to the side of the wall, and a toilet was situated in the opposite corner. A small window broke apart the darkness, letting us know that it was day time- or at least, from what we thought. It looked like a jail cell. It felt as though we were prisoners, and it terrified me that we didn't know of what.

Calum's touch distracted me, causing me to look up at him. I looked into his eyes, noting the sorrow and anger behind them.

"Where are we?" I asked, my wrecked voice raspy. He ran his touch down my body, encouraging me closer for comfort, his warmth only soothing me partly.

"We're in the centrefold."

"Centrefold?" I instantly repeated, just noticing how sore my throat was. God, it caned, I needed liquid to help soothe it as soon as possible. I was in a remarkable amount of pain.

"It's like- it's a place for the vampires. It's a protected space." He softly explained. I furrowed my eyebrows, moving my hand to my knee.

"That's good, isn't it?"

Calum made me feel clueless by the look on his face. He almost looked pitiful of me, like my question had caught him off guard by its dumbness.

"Not when it's the bad centrefold." He briefly said, not really giving me an explanation at all. "Look, Stel, we're in quite a bit of danger, being here."

"Well- let's escape. I'm sure there will be a way out." I said, willing myself to stand up. He watched me, features flattening as I ran my hands down my thighs, noticing the change of clothes. Black pants and a black top clung to my body, replacing the oversized shirt I was parading around before we were kidnapped. Had they, something, changed my clothes whilst I was passed out?

"There's no way out, I checked."

"Well there's gotta be." I shrugged, brushing aside the dirty thought of them seeing me practically naked. I didn't want to think about it, I had bigger problems to worry about right now. I heard Calum let out a heavy sigh as I began gripping at the walls, trying to find any sign of distress that could lead to escape.

The less I found, the more agitated I got. There were no cracks, no flaws in the walls, the architecture was clearly designed to keep people in no matter how hard they tried to escape. But I continued to search, trying to punch the door, using all the strength I had to try and make it budge.
