Chapter 79 - The End of Love

it's my birthday so i thought why not update early bc i'm in a great mood and nervous for this to end so yay enjoy!!! ps. I turned 19 and it's such a fucking weird age like?? everyone says I'm still a baby but I feel so so old

"It's gonna be one hell of a fight, trust me on that one." Michael sighed, tapping his fingers against the bench we were all seated around, hidden away from the others as we tried to conclude a successful escape plan.

I thought that eventually we'd water out and leave this place, parting ways with everyone to go find our own safe haven. I pictured Calum and I moving to the opposite side of Australia after confronting the issues we had back at Woodlends- settling the dispute between my father and the police, getting it all cleared up and safe before getting the fuck out of there. But of course, I was naive to think it was ever going to be that easy.

Felix was borderline unstoppable at this point, he somehow had this sick control over the masses and knew how to manipulate them into doing whatever he so pleased. He literally was brainwashing them all, making them blood hungry pigs who thrived on fear. And no matter how badly I wanted to walk away from the fire and pretended like it never happened, I knew I couldn't. People needed our help, we were the only ones with intel that could help with an easy execution plan. Peoples lives were at our hands, and I could never live with myself if I let us both walk away from this.

To put a strenuous, almost impossible task, simply; Felix needed to be killed. Him and his remaining team needed to be decimated. There was no other way to stop the endless slaughter, it's not like we could have a civil conversation and make him realise how fucked up he was. The only way to get through to him, was not getting through to him at all. Killing him quickly and silently.

"I don't think I'm ready for this shit storm." Luke muttered form beside me. I looked up at him, feeling Calum's hand secure around my lower thigh, comfortingly squeezing. I placed my hand overtop his, watching from the corner of my eye as his brown orbs flickered down to meet mine.

"No one is." Ash retaliated, arms crossing defensively across his chest.

"It's not gonna be a shit storm!" Michael sighed, exasperated. We had been here for hours, Calum and I being dragged straight from the bathroom into this old room. Talking about a plan, formulating something successful that would work and keep us all safe. "Trust me! It's the only way we can get through to Felix. He deserves to die after all the fucking casualties he's caused, why are you even fighting me in this?"

"I'm not, I just don't think killing the highest being in power is the smartest move for us right now." Luke shrugged, knee bouncing up and down almost irritatedly. I partly agreed with him- there was no use fighting fire with fire, it would only make the retaliation twice as destructive if we were to fail the plan. But on the other hand, we were running out of options fast. The longer we waited and sat around for a plan, the more time Felix had to kill people and get away with his sick and twisted plan. We had to act now if we wanted to save any more individuals and destroy him.

"Then what do you suggest we do?" Michael asked, his voice evidently more tired. We were all pretty tired at this point, so we were getting pretty nippy at each other. That's why I sat back and said nothing, I just waited for this whole thing to be over so I could sleep and get my long awaited rest.

"In all honesty, I think we need to play it safe for the time being. Lay low until we know what his movements are, focus on getting those people back to health before throwing them back into the firing lane." He said, Ashton shrugging beside him.
