Chapter 8 - Forest

I'm very sorry, but there will probably be very slow updates for a while because a lots going on in my busy life currently, and i'm attempting to stay away from my phone/social media for a while. I'll try update as much as possible, but no guarantee:( life is just getting in the way, you guys know how it is.

"So this is your thing, is it?" I asked Calum, glancing up at him. He furrowed his eyebrows, a slight smile growing on his lips.

"What is?"

"You know," I softly laughed, folding my legs in front of me. "Sneaking all your girls out during the night, taking them to creepy parks? That's your thing?"

I smiled as Calum chuckled, shaking his head.

"That's definitely not my thing, I can guarantee you that." He said, eyes trailing down to my lips as I smiled.

"Sure."

"Besides," he said, shifting closer to me. I remained looking up at him. "There's only one girl I've got my eyes on."

"Oh, really?" I raised my eyebrows, feeling my heart rate quicken in my chest. Calum nodded, fingers grazing my thigh as he moved his hand beside mine.

"Yeah... I'm hoping her eyes aren't set on anyone else."

"They aren't." I answered, softly shaking my head up at him. Calum ran his tongue over his bottom lip, brown eyes shining from the moon behind me.

"I think she's afraid of something." He softly said, concern filling his eyes. I furrowed my eyebrows, watching as his gaze circled around my face, soaking in my features.

"Of what?" I asked, His eyes returning back to mine.

"Me."

I felt my heart stop for a second at his accusation. Scared of him? I couldn't find one thing about Calum that had frightened me away from him, or made me feel worried. The only thing that had managed to scare me was how familiar he was; but my concern has slipped the second he admitted he felt the same.

I reached out, placing my hands on his checks. Calum moved his hands to my wrists, gently holding onto me.

"I am not afraid of you, Calum." I said, running my thumb over his cheek. Calum's features softened, a warm smile now on his lips. His concerned state had completely transformed in to a happy one, his brown eyes sparkling and soft lips curved upwards.

I was pulled in to a kiss, his hands moving to my cheeks to guide me. My heart skipped a beat the second our lips met, my head dizzy with affection. My hands gripped on to the sides of his jacket.

Calum took the lead, lips clearly dominating mine as his tongue grazed my bottom lip.

It felt as if the world had disappeared around us and we were the only people here. And that thought didn't frighten me in the slightest. For once, being alone with someone seemed inviting, it was something that I wanted to experience. Especially with Calum.

I pulled away, resting my head down on his shoulder as Calum's arms wrapped around me. Eyes closed, I smiled in to the fabric of his jumper.

"Who said I was even talking about you?" He said, causing me to laugh, slapping his chest.

"You're a dick." I sat up, instantly being tugged back. But I pulled away, hearing Calum laugh.

"I was joking."
