CONFESSION:

i have never seen anything star wars-related

and i accidentally made this poor boy think that i have

he made some sort of reference to it during class (i don't remember what it is, i'm so sorry) and i thought he said something about a pop tart

and i thought it was a funny analogy, so i laughed at it

and he looked so taken aback but very happy and said "you got that star wars reference?!"

and i realized i had made a mistake

but he looked so happy, i didn't have the heart to tell him that i misunderstood what he said

so i just lightly nodded and tried to start doing work so he wouldn't continue the conversation so i could fuck it up more

that same day, we were talking about different note-taking methods

and he shows me his

and it's the most creative and unique thing i've ever seen

i don't know how, but he draws abstract-ish picture with his notes that somehow remind him of and relate to the notes that he's taking

which i think is literally, amazing(phil)

so of course, me being me, i just reply with an awkward "t-that's kinda c-cool"

and i think he said the trick was to never lift the pen off of the paper

and he started passionately talking about how he liked drawing

and i told him something along the lines of "i wish i could; i can't draw because when i do, it looks like shit"

so he looks into my eyes and nonchalantly says:

"well, that means i'll have to teach you sometime."

(still waiting on that offer but i have plenty of time)

but my heart stopped

before rapidly beating and picking up speed

a lot
