Oliver’s Point of View

I woke up and saw Abby was still sleeping; I walked over and pulled her sheet up over her. Her arms were next to her, palms up. I never knew she cut, I wonder how long she has been for, and when the last time she did. *Sigh* that’s a question for another day. I put on a new pair of jeans and another Drop Dead shirt; I walked out into the back lounge and Lee was sitting there. “Hey mate.” I greeted and sat down next to him after shutting the door to my ‘room’. “Morning mate, so I heard you and Matt yelling last night…” he trailed off. “Fuck.” I mumbled. “What were you arguing about?” he asked and I decided to tell him some. “Well I went to find Abby and well shit had happened before I got there. I gave her my coat and carried her back to the bus. When we got back to our bunks Matt was there and he thought I was going to fuck her or already did. He was a prick about it because he was completely wrong.” I said and dropped my head. “That blows mate.” Lee agreed. Lee and I chatted for a bit about the set list today and the tour in general. I turned my head when I saw the door open, I smiled when I saw her. She looked really nice; she was wearing ripped jeans with a white studded belt, and a sparkly stripped tank top. She was carrying a few things in her hand, “Hey Lee, Morning Oli.” She said and smiled at me. She came back a few minutes later with her hair straightened and a bow in her hair. It wasn’t until she went to open the door that I noticed she was wearing her ‘Love’ ring; it made me smile. She walked back out and extended an arm out to me. “Shall we get food?” she asked in a cute voice. “Sure, Lee, see you later!” I said and began to walk away. “Oh, and the show is cancelled today, it’s going to lightning and thunder- no show.” Lee said and I nodded. More time to spend with my girl. I grabbed my hoodie out of the front room on our way out. Everyone else was still sleeping so we ran outside and she had the biggest smile on her face. We linked arms and skipped to a random café where we got our usual. She got blue berry tea and a muffin and I got a coffee with a muffin because when Americans try to make scones, they suck ass. We sat at a booth and began quietly eating. I kept playing the events of last night in my head; they didn’t seem real. Abby’s so sweet, she really deserves good in her life; whether it’s with or without me. She reached her hand out and placed it on top of mine she smiled up at me. Her smile makes me smile; but not right now, what if what she’s looking for isn’t me? No, I don’t fall in l-o-v-e. “Oli, can we go, I’m not really hungry anymore.” She said and tossed out the rest of her stuff.

We walked out of the café as we did on the day I asked her out. We linked arms until we found a park, its adorable how her face lit up when we got there she grabbed my hand and ran, she ran past the swings and we went into the woods. We just walked hand in hand until we came to a big clearing. “Can we run?” she said with a giggle and pointed to the hill, I nodded and laughed. We began to run and she stumbled and rolled the rest of the way. I sat down where I was and watched her until she got to the bottom. She is perfect, I just wish she- nope. ‘It’s just a fling, Oli’ I kept telling myself, but why did I see it as more than it actually was? She came back up and plunked down next to me. “I still didn’t get my surprise.” I id and he held m hand and began tracing my tattoos again. It was so calming and I loved the feeling. “You have to wait twenty more minutes!” she said and stood up, “We should start our way there.” She said and I stood up. As soon as I was standing upright she jumped on my back; I caught her and put my hands under her thighs to carry her. She told me which streets to take as she looked up directions on my phone. “WE’RE HERE!” she yelled and I looked up, we were at a tattoo parlor. “I’m going to get my first tattoo.” She said, she sounded nervous and excited all at the same time, it was so cute.

We walked into the parlor and it smelled strongly of cleaner and disinfectant, I guess that’s a good thing though. “What will you guys be getting today?” the man at the counter asked. “I’m getting a tattoo,” I said and pulled a piece of paper out of my pocket and handed it to him. “Yes, this can be done. Did you draw this?” he asked and I nodded. “It’s very pretty.” He said and I smiled. He led me over to a station, and a girl with vibrant pink hair and tons of tattoos was sitting there. “Hello sweetie, where are you getting this?” she asked and prepared the needle. “On my hip, please.” I said and she smiled and nodded. “Okay, show me where.” She said and looked at my drawing again. I rolled up my shirt about half way and moved my jeans down slightly and pointed to the area where I wanted it done. “Alright hun, now just lay back and relax, and let me know it you need to stop for a while or if you need anything!” she said and with that she was about to start. “OLI!” I yelled before she started and Oli came over from the waiting room and the girl with pink hair told him to sit in the seat next to mine. He grabbed my hand, “Squeeze if you need to.” he whispered to me and I just nodded. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so when she started I didn’t really seem to notice at first until she got to where my hip bone was, and holy shit that hurt! I squeezed Oli’s hand so hard his fingers started to go blue. “Sorry Oli…” I said and he smiled.

A few hours later it was finished and I was very pleased with the results. It looked great. I thanked the girl and paid upfront before we left. The goopy stuff and the wrap felt weird. “It looks gorgeous, just like you.” Oli said and wrapped his arm around mine. We were walking around and the skies opened up, just as Lee said. I turned to Oli and kissed him. “Check that off my bucket list.” I laughed when I said it.

I laughed and kissed her again. She grabbed my hand and we walked, in the rain, back to the park we had found earlier. She pulled me close, after she kicked off her black Toms, and started dancing; I didn’t pull away, whatever makes her happy. I began to dance, close to her and she laughed at first then she just smiled and danced with me. She pulled me into another kiss and it was really nice. We heard someone clear their throats behind us and we spun around and the same time, still holding onto each other. Lee was standing there and he almost dropped the coffee cup he was carrying. “Lee, please don’t say anything.” Abby pleaded, she buried her head in my shoulder. “How long?” Lee asked, in pure shock still. “A little over two weeks…” I said and grabbed Abby’s hand because she was shaking. “Why, like why Matt’s sister?” he asked and her eyes went wide. “What the hell kind of question is that Lee? Just because she’s my mates’ sister, doesn’t change anything. I still really like her, it’s just, and you can’t tell Matt. Please.” I said and he walked up to us. “Do you guys seriously like each other? It’s not just a fuck and run?” he asked and we both shook out heads. Abby sneezed and I took off my hoodie and put it on her and put up the hood after zipping it up. “Aren’t you going to get cold?” she asked and I shrugged. “Oh well…” I said and we turned back to Lee, forgetting that he was there. “You guys know I can’t keep a secret like this from one of my best mates!” Lee exclaimed and Abby shook her head and ran the opposite way. I just glared at Lee before running to catch up with Abby. She was sitting on a bench just past the playground. “Abby…” I said and I sat down and she leaned into my side. I put my arm around her and she looked up at me. Her makeup was running due to the rain, but she still looked so pretty. “Oli, it’ll be okay, right?” she asked and I honestly didn’t know. I looked back and Lee was gone. “Let’s go back to the bus, maybe see what’s going on.”I suggested and she nodded.

Picking her shoes up again and putting them on; every step she took the made a squish noise and it made me laugh. “Hey Oli…” she began and I looked down at her, her shortness was adorable, but she wasn’t like awkwardly short. “Can you carry me like you did last night? That was cute… but only if you want to.” she said and I smiled. I stopped walking and picked her up bridal style, just like last night. The entire way back to the bus she kept kissing my jaw line, it was so cute and I kept laughing. When we got back to the bus we stood outside and I set her down. “Promise that no matter what happens we will still sneak around?” she said and held out her pinky finger. “Promise.” I said and grabbed her pinky with mine. She pulled me away from the door and pulled me the side of the bus, below the closed windows. She jumped up and I caught her, like before, my hands under her things and her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. We just looked at each other for a moment. I pushed her up against the side of the bus, “HOLY SHIT THAT’S COLD!” she said, “Sorry, Love.” I said and started kissing her. We heard the bus door swing open, but we didn’t pull apart. “You know, it’s going to be might hard to keep you secret if you keep doing this is such open places.” We heard Lee’s voice say. Abby jumped down and ran over to hug him. “Thank you Lee, we promise we’ll be careful! Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!” she said and hugged him again. “Thanks mate, it means loads to us.” I said gave him a non awkward hug. “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” Lee said and he walked back inside and we followed behind him.
