Abby’s Point of View

“Oli…” I whispered and walked into the room, tears filled my eyes and I walked over to him. He was sitting on his bathroom floor, cross-legged, and there was blood everywhere. He was holding a blade in his hand and was just sitting there, he didn’t say anything, or even look up at me for that matter. I crouched down next to him and pulled out my phone to call an ambulance, I had dialed and Oli reached over and took my phone from me and closed out the call before it could start to ring. He looked up at me and his eyes were filled with pain and hurt, something that I’ve never seen in him before. “Abby-” he began and I started to cry, please don’t tell me he did this because of our stupid little fight. “Oli, I’m sorry it was all my fault. I shouldn’t have pushed you to talk about where you were. I’m so sorry.” He raised an eyebrow at me and looked confused. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, I know you were just worried.” He said in a soft voice, “I went to the hospital; it was Matt who had called me. Our friend got into a really bad car accident and he passed away a few minutes after I got there. We were supposed to hang out when I got back from tour but I forgot and he said we could just hangout later. Now I will never see him again and we never got to hangout. It’s all my fault, Abby.” He said and the hurt in his eyes grew, but he didn’t cry. He has never cried in front of me before, or anyone for that matter. I looked down at his arms, they had so many cuts on them, I couldn’t stand to look at them anymore. I went into the kitchen and dug through some boxes until I found a first aid kit and I returned to Oli. “Oli!” I yelled, when I had walked back in he was dragging the blade across his skin again. I ran over to him and grabbed the blade from his hand and threw it into the hallway. I sopped up some of the blood off of the floor and sat across from him. I pulled him arms over to me and I dabbed the blood away and I saw that he had a lot more than I thought. “Oli, give me my phone, you need to go to the hospital.” I said and he shook his head. “No, I’m fine.” He mumbled, I just sighed and got the gauze out and began to wrap each of his arms. When I finished I kissed each of his bandaged arms and he looked up at me. “Thank you.” He whispered and I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. I stood up then helped him up. He went to go look through his boxes for a change of clothes, when he found them he went into a room and changed. I picked up the blade while he was changing and threw it off of his balcony. It’s a nice apartment; it was two bedrooms, one washroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a small balcony. I heard his door open and I went over to him and gave him a hug. “Please never do that to yourself again.” I said and he nodded and gave me a weak smile; I can’t lose him.

Oliver’s Point of View

Abby had insisted on staying and helping me unpack, I honestly think it’s a load of shit and she just didn’t trust me. But if I were her, I wouldn’t trust me either. Every time she wasn’t looking I would try to find where she had thrown it but I can’t find it anywhere. The apartment came fully furnished; there were two beds and a few dressers between the two rooms. I had taken the bigger room as my own and made the other one an office/music room. I didn’t have much use for an office anyways. It was also a storage room. In the living room there was a light brown couch and two matching chairs. There was a television, but you had to pay to get cable. All of the appliances were already in the kitchen and there were a few chairs and a small table out on the balcony. I was still kind of mad at Matt; if he had called me sooner then I could’ve at least talked to Max before he had gone. Abby kept asking me about my friend and I eventually gave into her request after she made us tea. “Max was one of my best friends in high school, although no one really called him Max, he preferred to be called Maxy. And it was cooler that way. Maxy was gay and he was open about it; he got bullied and made fun of a lot for being gay but he didn’t care, at least that’s what I thought. Our second last year of school I found out that Maxy cut too; and that’s when we got even closer, we became each other’s life line. We hung out all the time and got each other to quit cutting for a while. A month before graduation Maxy’s parents split and he went with his mom because his dad hated him for being gay. Maxy moved to London and we didn’t speak much until recently. I’m so fucking stupid for blowing him off like that.” I finished and she had tears in her eyes. She didn’t say anything; she just reached over and out her hand on top of mine and gave me a reassuring smile. I got chills down my spine when she did that; it was such a simple gesture but it had such a great impact. I smiled at her and she sipped her tea.

After another hour of unpacking it was basically done, I didn’t have a lot of stuff. “I should get going…” she said, although she looked like she didn’t want to leave. And I didn’t want her to leave. “Or you could stay…” I said and she smiled a little. “I can’t just leave Matt home without telling him where I am.” She said and I shook my head. “Oh, like he did to you? Who says he’s even home?” I asked and she must’ve realized I was right because she walked over to me and kissed me. I felt my whole body heat up and I smiled into the kiss. “Can I have a shirt or something?” she asked and I nodded, I gave her one of my oversized Drop Dead shirts and she went into the washroom to change. I changed into a pair of sweat paints and lay down on my bed. Abby walked into my room and set her clothes on the floor in a neat pile. “Do you have an extra blanket?” she asked and I shook my head no. “Come here, you’re not sleeping on the couch.” I said and she smiled and walked over to me. I held out my arms to her and she fell into them. I winced when she leaned on my arms. “Sorry baby.” She said and she kissed the tip of my nose. “It’s alright, Love. How’s your shop coming?” I asked, trying to take my mind off to Maxy, but it kept venturing back to him. “It’s good, it’s done and I can open whenever I get enough employees and get the word that there’s a new café in town!” she said excitedly and I smiled at her. “I’m proud of you, I’m sure it looks great. I’m sorry I couldn’t go to see it but I was moving and-“I began but she cut me off by kissing me. It wasn’t just a kiss, and it wasn’t lustful, it was just…love. “I love you.” She said when we pulled apart and she looked away, not wanting to hear my reply. I out two fingers under her chin and turned her face towards mine so that our lips were only centimeters apart. “I love you too.” I whispered and connected our lips.
