When Matt opened the door a few people came in, and a few other after that. I saw a bunch of cars pull up and more people walking. Dang, when Matt says be here by six, people like being on time! I sat on the couch near the first speaker while Matt attempted to talk to everyone that was already there. By six-thirty people were moving into the backyard because the house was getting crowded. Every time someone knocked at the door or rang the bell, Matt ran to the door to answer it. The bell rang again and I waited to see Matt running through the house to get it, but he never did. I glanced out the back window to see him talking to a group of people; guess I’ll have to get it- me the socially awkward human being unable to make words half the time. I walked over to the door, “here goes nothing” I mumbled to myself before opening the door. I soon found myself looking at a man with the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen. “Ello Love.” He said with the most adorable voice. “Hello” I replied, as he kissed my hand. I felt my cheeks heat up, I hope he can’t see me, what a ditz I must look like. I motioned for them to come in, moving out of the doorway. The others walked into the kitchen; I’m guessing they went straight towards the drinks- same as many of the other guests so far. But the guy with the gorgeous eyes stepped inside then shut the door behind him; he smiled at me. “Would you like to get a drink Love?” he said with another smile. “No thanks, I’m not old enough to drink yet…but I can pour you one if you’d like.” I said and he nodded. I led him to the kitchen, “Want this?” I asked holding up a bottle of something that smelled really strong. “Whatever you think I should have, Love.” He said and I began to pour his drink into a Red Solo cup. “Abby! You know you’re not old enough to drink!” I heard Matt’s voice behind me say. I turned to face, I began to open my mouth to defend myself, “Chill mate, she was just getting me a drink. Is this your girl?” he asked after he took the drink from my hands. “No; Abby, this is the singer in my band, Oliver. Oli, this is my little sister, Abby.” Matt said and he…Oliver, smiled at me again. “Nice to meet you Abby.” Oliver said with a wink. “Nice to meet you too.” I said with a small smile. I could see Matt glaring at Oliver so I decided it was time for me to go somewhere else and let them talk. I walked in the yard and immediately recognized many of the people; they were all members in bands. I guess there are some up sides of having Matt as my brother. I walked over and began talking to Austin; I’ve known him for a few years. “How have you been Abby…something?” he said with a laugh. “Abby Nicholls!” I said in reply to him not knowing my last name. “Oh that’s right, you’re Matt’s little sister. I remember you know! And of course you know who I am.” He said with a cocky smirk. “What’s your name again?” I said, obviously kidding. “Well obviously, I’m freaking Austin ‘Carlile!” he said, emphasizing his name; making sure his name was heard by everyone. But no one seemed too impressed because they all knew him already. I laughed and we talked for a while when someone else walked in and got my attention; haven’t seen them in forever.

“Danny! Ben!” I ran over and gave them both a big hug. They’ve been on an American tour for the past few months and we haven’t kept in touch. We chatted and they told me all about their tour; until I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I whirled around to come face to face with those brown eyes again. “So, Love, how old are you?” he asked with a devilish grin. “I’m twenty, twenty-one in a month or so.” I said, “I’ll catch up with you guys later.” I said to Danny and Ben. “Later Abby.” They said and walked away. I turned back to face Oliver, he was still there waiting for me to say something. “So you’re in my brother’s band?” I asked I already knew the answer, of course he was; I remember Matt telling me about Oliver before. “Matt is in my band,” he said with a wink, “What do you do?” he asked, I’m pretty sure he’s being serious. “I have no idea what I want to do yet, but for now I just work in a tattoo shop downtown.” I said and he laughed. “What are you laughing at?” I asked him. “I’ve gotten so many tattoos there and I’m surprised you’ve never done me before.” He said with a wink…or he just has a bad twitch. “I’m surprised too!” I said playing along with his weird little game. “So, Abby, do you have a boyfriend?” he asked moving slightly closer; I could smell the alcohol in his breath. “No, and what’s it to you?” I said stepping closer, two can play at this. “Just curious, Love.” He said with a smirk; and with that he walked away. I walked back into the house and sat on the couch by myself. I listened to the music for a while and greeted a few people when Matt couldn’t make it to the door.
