Abby’s Point of View
I woke up to the sound of birds and the smell of outdoors. I love camping; I rolled over and saw Oli playing on his phone. “Morning, Babe.” I said and he smiled over at me. “Morning, Lee said him and the rest of the guys are coming up today…” he trailed off and I sighed. I wasn’t ready to face Matt yet, I wasn’t even ready to tell other people about Oli and I, but I guess we have to now. I rolled off the mattress and dug through my bag until I found an outfit for the day. “I’m going to go inside to change, I will be back out in a few.” I said and he nodded at me. I unzipped out tent and stepped into the bright light of the new day. Since Matt was coming up today I thought it’d be a great day to wear my new top. I crept inside, trying not to wake the people who were sleeping. I found one of the washrooms and walked in, locking the door behind me. I wriggled out of my pajamas and stepped into my outfit. It was a pair of black shorts with studs on them, a white camisole, and a crop top that said ‘Can’t Stop Love’. I also had on my black converse and my ‘Love’ ring that Oli gave me, and a black bow necklace. I put on a bit of mascara and a thin line of eyeliner. I brushed out my hair and brushed my teeth, even though I didn’t eat yet. I grabbed my pajamas and headed out to the tent again. I stepped in because the zipped was already open. “Oli…” I said and I felt arms snake around my waist from behind me. “Hey beautiful.” His voice said and I smile and I turned to face him. He was changed; he had on a pair of black skinny jeans and a Lincoln Park tee-shirt, along with a pair of black Vans. I smiled and kissed his cheek, he looked really good…in anything. “Breakfast?” I asked him and he groaned, “Oli, what’s wrong?” I asked and he sighed heavily. “Just not hungry.” He mumbled and I grabbed his hand and started walking towards the house. “Well then sit with me while I eat.” He followed behind me without resistance. I walked into the kitchen and Oli took a seat in one of the bar stools; there was a note on the counter “Make whatever you can find for breakfast/lunch. –Corey.” I read the note then walked over to look for cereal. I found some generic brand and poured it into a bowl and got the milk out of the fridge. “Are you sure you don’t want any?” I asked Oli and he shook his head. I sat across from him in another bar stool. “Babe, why aren’t you eating a lot?” I asked and he just shrugged his shoulders and out is head in his hands. I watched him for a minute silently before he spoke up. “It’s nothing Love, don’t worry about it.” he said and smiled slightly at me. I finished my cereal and washed out my bowl. “Fine.” I finally said and he watched me as I walked around the kitchen. “Babe, can you grab that basket?” Oli asked when I was standing next to a small weave basket. I raised an eyebrow at him but picked it up anyways. I followed him outside and past our tent. “Oli, what is in here anyways?” I asked and he didn’t say anything, he just held out his hand for me to take and I did. He was carrying a small cooler and something else. We got to the edge of the lake and he led me out onto a small dock. “Here we are malady.” He said and he stepped into the row boat that was tied up there. He extended his hand to me and I got in then grabbed the basket off the ground and set it in the boat with us.
Oli began to row the boat away from the dock after he untied it. There was a slight breeze out on the lake, so there was just a slight current in the water. Oli rowed for a few minutes before he set the paddles on the edge of the boat and looked out onto the lake. “Abby,” he began and I looked over at him to continue, “I know that the guys are coming up today and all but I don’t want that to change anything. I still want to spend my entire day with you and hug you and kiss you as I please.” He said quietly as if someone would hear us. I felt my cheeks heat up, I have no idea why though. “Oli, I don’t want anything to change either but-“ I began to say but he cut me off. “But nothing Abby, there are no ‘buts’ I’m going to spend time with my girl, no matter what.” He said and he carefully stood up and came over and crouched in front of me. He looked into my eyes and then kissed me. I didn’t move at all but I did kiss back. I began to pull him closer to me but he pulled away from the kiss. “Love, you’re going to tip the boat; there’s plenty of time for that stuff later.” He said with a wink and went back to his spot and put the oars back into the dark water. The water looked so dirty but it was actually clear if you put it into a cup or something. After a while more of rowing we stopped aging, but this time we at shore. I looked around and didn’t see a dock. We were just in the shallows. Oli jumped out of the boat, just missing the water. He dragged the boat onto the beach type thing. He walked over to me and helped me out, I didn’t need the help but I loved his touch. He grabbed the cooler and I grabbed the basket. I followed him until he stopped and pulled a blanket out from on top of the cooler and lay it down on the sand. He sat down and patted the spot next to him. I smiled and set the basket down; he reached inside of it and pulled out two sandwiches and a bag of crisps. He opened the cooler and there was water, juice, and fruit. “Oli it’s-“ I started to say how much I loved it when Oli cut me off with a kiss. I kissed him back almost immediately, I ran my fingers through his hair and he smiled into the kiss. I leaned into him, pushing him slightly, then a little more so he was lying on his back. We still hadn’t broken apart, Oli’s tongue grazed my bottom lip but I decided to play stubborn. Our eyes opened and his met mine, he had a devilish look in his eye. His hand traveled up my shirt, causing me to gasp; he took that opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth. After a few minutes we pulled away from each other. “Bastard.” I said and he pecked my lips. I got off of him and he sat up and fixed his hair. As soon as he finished I reached over and ruffled his hair once more and he just looked at me. He pinned me down and kissed my jaw line slowly. I let a small moan escape my lips and I felt Oli smile against my skin. He pulled away slowly and his eyes were glowing with happiness, I love seeing that in him. We ate and made small talk for a while until Oli stood up and picked up my phone from beside me and I raised an eyebrow at him. I slowly stood up and he took off. “OLI!” I yelled as I began chasing him on the beach. I finally caught up to him and jumped on his back and he toppled to the ground. He rolled me over so he was on top of me and he was smiling down at me. “Ello, Love.” He said and I smiled up at him, I love this man. He was just staring at me and I’ve had enough waiting. I put my arms around his neck and pulled his lips into mine. He kissed back passionately and smiled into the kiss. He eventually got off of me and helped me up. I started to fix my hair and he smirked at me. “How’s it feel?” he said and ruffled my hair up, I smiled at him and stepped closer. “About this good.” I said and screw up his hair before I ran back to our blanket. “Blanket is safe!” I yelled and dove on top of it. he laughed and fell next to me. He kissed my cheek and then put everything away. I helped him fold the blanket and we carried the things back to the boat. “Thank you Oli, for an amazingly perfect day.” I said and I kissed him before I got into the boat. “Couldn’t have been perfect without you being here.” He said and my cheeks heated up again.
We arrived back at Corey’s dock when the sun was starting to set; we got out of the boat and tied it back up. We walked up to the cabin and walked into the kitchen where a few people were preparing for dinner. “Need any help?” Oli asked as I set the picnic basket back in the spot where I had gotten it from earlier. “If you would like to, everything is pretty much done.” Someone standing by the sink said. Corey walked into the room and smiled at us. “Ah, so it was you two who took my rowboat out for the day, ehy?” Corey said and I smiled shyly. “Yep, there’s an amazing view out on the lake; it’s so peaceful out here.” Oli said and I nodded in agreement. “Well dinner is ready.” Someone said walking inside with a plate of hotdogs and hamburgers. Oli went over to the salad bowl and began dishing some out, oh the perks of dating a vegetarian. I grabbed a roll and got a hotdog and a small salad. Oli and I went outside to sit at the picnic table with a few other people. I got water and so did Oli. We were about halfway through dinner when Oli stopped dinner and his eyes widened, I turned around to see what he was looking at. Lee, Matt, Curtis, Sabrina, and finally, my brother stepped out of the dark blue truck. I sunk back into my seat and Oli stood up and grabbed his plate to throw it away, I followed closely behind him. We got inside with no problem but when we walked back outside Lee spotted us. “Hey guys!” Lee shouted and waved us over. I walked behind Oli and he grabbed my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. We stayed talked to them for a few minutes until Oli made up some lame ass excuse why we had to be going. The entire time Matty was glaring at us and shooting Oli and I dirty looks. This is going to be a fun week.
