Oliver’s Point of View

I blinked away my tears and stood up, I held out my hand for Abby to take and she did with a small smile. She wiped the tears off of her face and hugged me, I really do like her. And I found out she is leaving tomorrow because her boss needs her back at work; I don’t know why she didn’t tell me, Matt told me earlier. It was going to be hard without her here for the last few weeks of tour, but I can’t let that show because the guys still don’t know and  we don’t want them to know. This whole secrete is so much easier than having everyone up your ass all the time about what you’re doing and stuff like that. “Oli…” she said and I looked down at her, “I’m sure you already know, but I am leaving tomorrow.” She said and I sighed. “Why do you have to go?” I whined, I know it’s childish but I didn’t want her to go. “I have to go back to work, I promise I’ll call and text everyday! And it’s only going to be a few weeks.” She said and walked over and sat in her bunk. Of course I followed her; I was going to miss the warmth of her soft skin. I kissed her neck “Oli” she mumbled and I smiled against her neck. God I was going to miss her, I don’t care how many times she reminds me it’ll only be for a few weeks I still don’t want her to go. She looked at me with those gorgeous chocolate brown eyes and smiled. “I’m going to miss you Oli.” She said and with that she nuzzled her head into my neck and drifted off to sleep.

Abby’s Point of View

It was noon and Oli had helped me pack and the guys were driving me to the airport. I can’t wait to be home in my own bed, but I also had a lot of fun on tour and I’m going to miss being here. Sigh. I guess I’ll just have to suck it up. I went through customs and the whole nine yards until we were at the gate. “Now boarding flight 856 to England.” A voice said over the loud speaker. I picked up my carryon bag and looked at the guys. I gave Matt K, Lee, and Curtis their hugs. I gave Matt (my brother) and hug and he told me to have a safe flight and call when I get home. Then I got to Oli, we had said our goodbyes this morning so it might be a bit easier with the guys here. I gave him a hug and smiled, he told me to call everyday and I promised I would. “Bye guys.” And with that, I boarded the plane. Not only is this my second time flying, it’s my first time flying alone. I took my seat and buckled in. I almost immediately put my headphones in and some little twat began kicking my seat and I heard a baby crying. We haven’t even taken off yet and I already know this is going to suck big time. An elderly couple sat beside me, I had already claimed the window seat as mine, but they began bickering about how they wanted first class and how the ‘atmosphere of the plane wasn’t right’ it was quite obnoxious. And here begins my long and dreaded hours of hell.

Two Weeks Later

The guys were coming home tomorrow! I can’t wait to see Oli, and my brother…and the rest of them. I looked around the house and realized how messy it really was. I haven’t done much cleaning since I got back, and the people who had stayed here while we were gone did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. I heard my phone buzz on the couch and I dove for it ‘Boarding the plane now, miss you tons! Xoxo ~Oli’ I smiled at the text and wished they were home already. I put the kettle on and began to pick up a bit. Oh, and I don’t want Matt home, he will be pissed when he hears the news I have to tell him. The tattoo shop I worked for closed because the owner was moving to Australia with his wife for her job. Sigh. I want to open my own store. I don’t care if it’s a tattoo shop or something else; if Oli can do it then I can damn well manage my own also! I had talked to Oli about my idea the other day and he thought it was cool, he told me there was an abandoned shop next to his Drop Dead store in London but I didn’t want to drive three hours to work every day. But I did know there was a half empty plaza about ten to fifteen minutes from my house! Maybe like a little café because the ones around here are okay, but nothing stands out. And I’ll be damned if I don’t stand out in a business. It’s not my looks or my personality, it’s the way I would present things to the public. Screw it; I’m going to call right now. I grabbed my phone and dialed the number. “Hello” said the voice on the other end. “Good morning, my name is Abby and I saw that you are leasing stores in your plaza. How much over month do you rent?” I asked and I could hear the man shuffling through some papers. “About one-hundred Euros per month, plus electric and water and heating but those costs are depending on how much you use them.” he said and I sighed, I can’t afford one hundred Euros per month. “But, I also own another building just around the corner from the plaza, you can swing by today and look at if you’d like.” He said and I literally jumped up in excitement. “Yes please! Can I come now?” I asked over enthusiastically. “If you wish ma’am, my team is there now working on layout plans, tell them Mike sent you and they’ll let you in to look at the space. I will be there shortly.” He said and I thanked him before grabbing my purse and slipping a pair of shoes. I was almost out the door when I remembered my kettle; I poured the water down the drain and grabbed my phone and keys before I left.

When I arrived I told the workers that Mike had sent me and they let me in, it was an amazing space. Nothing too big, but it wasn’t cramped either. There was aready a kitchen put in, all it needed was working electricity and decorations and nice floors and tables and I can honestly ramble on and on about what I could do to this place. Someone who I guessed was Mike showed up after about ten minuted. He was a taller man with brown hair, he was probably in his thirties and he had huge muscles. He was carrying a manila folder and a binder. “Hello, you must be Abby.” He said with a smile and shook my hand, “I’m Mike, let’s get right to business. So would you like to lease this building?” he asked and I thought for a second before I nodded. He smiled and had me read and sign a contract. I paid one month’s lease right there, as a down payment saying that I’m actually serious about this place. It evened out to about fifty Euros a month, not including electric; but it’s still a good deal. He told me that he would install appliances and help cover the costs of the flooring, tables, chairs, and other necessities. I gave him my address and phone number and he said a contractor would stop by later and I could work out my plan for where I wanted everything. This was all too exciting. I thanked him and with that we each left. I can’t believe it; I’m going to open my own business.

It was eight when the contractor had left my flat; I was really excited and couldn’t wait to order everything for the shop tomorrow. I wanted my own café; it was going to be all the rave in Sheffield. Let me have my moment of cockiness. I heard a car door, neighbors are home. Sometimes I really hate them. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, but I hate their dog it barks all night long whether it’s inside or outside, it barks all the time. I grabbed my tea off of the counter I had poured while the contractor was here and I headed out onto the porch. If I hadn’t had a strong grip on my mug I would’ve dropped it. I set it on the table on the porch and ran over to them. “OLI, MATT!” I yelled and jumped on Matt’s back. They both laughed as I got down. “I thought you didn’t get back until the morning?” I asked and they smiled. “Our connecting flight time was moved up so was got home earlier.” Matt said, although I didn’t really listen to him, I was lost in Oli’s eyes. I wish he hasn’t here right now; I wanted to kiss Oli so badly. “Here, let me help you with that.” I said to Oli who was pretending to struggle with his bags. We took them inside and up to his room hi pushed me up against the wall and kissed me then looked at me, “I missed you, Love.” He said with a smile. “I missed you too.” I said and pulled him back into the kiss.

The three of us ordered Chinese food for dinner and we ate in the kitchen and they told me about the rest of tour and how at one show some fan got into their dressing room, it seemed crazy. “It was pretty hectic without you there, Abbs.” Oli said with a smile. That’s a new one; he’s never called me that before, I like it. We laughed and ate our food until we finished, “Fortune cookie time!” I yelled and we each grabbed our and opened the wrappers. “On three,” Oli began, “One, two, THREE!” he said and with that you heard three cookies breaking open. “Me first!” Matt exclaimed and read his fortune, “What you don’t know can’t hurt you” he read and I almost spit out my drink, it that seriously his? That is just perfect I looked over at Oli and he had the same look in his face and we smiled at each other but Matt didn’t see it, he was busy reading his lucky numbers. “Me next,” Oli said “Never underestimate the power of human touch.” He said and I laughed and Matt just looked at me funny and I blushed when Oli looked over at me. “And now me!” I said stupidly, seeing as though I was the only one left. “Love is free. Lust and greed will cost you everything you have.” I read mine and then laughed, I have the world in my hands and love in my heart and I’m not giving up either one of them.
