Abby’s Point of View
“Someone get Matty for me!” I yelled to all of my bridesmaids, this is just what I freaking need right now. One of them handed me a small glass of wine and I thanked her before quickly downing the cool liquid. After a few minutes of pacing back and forth in a pair of sweat pants and a hoodie, Matty finally walked into the room. “Matty, thank god you’re here!” I said while quickly walking over to him. “What do you need Abbs?” he asked and I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. “Mom and dad called and said they can’t make it, dad is supposed to walk me down the aisle and give me away and he cancels four hours before the damn wedding starts!” I said and took deep breaths to prevent another anxiety attack. “Why can’t they come? Actually, that’s not important and why aren’t you getting ready yet?” he asked and I stopped dead in my tracks. “Because your girlfriend left the makeup kit at your house and is on her way with it now, and my dress is over there and the curling iron isn’t working.” I said facing him with tears brimming my eyes. “Abby, calm down and sit down,” he said, leading me over to a couch, “I saw Sabrina running down the hall a few minutes ago to get a new curler, everything will be fine.” He said and I sighed, he was right but today is so stressful. I’m not the best of friends with my bridesmaids but when I had to pick some I realized that I haven’t talked to my girl friends since high school. My bridesmaids are the girlfriends of the other band members- Sabrina who is Lee’s girlfriend, Chloe who is Matty’s girlfriend, Chrissy who is Matt K’s girlfriend, Sierra who is Tom’s girlfriend (Oli’s little brother), my two high school friends Makayla and Lilly were also my bridesmaids, and my high school best friend, Emma who is my maid of honor. Her boyfriend’s name is Jordan and he is in a band but I don’t remember the name of it. “Matty, would you walk me down the aisle? You did a better job with me than mom and dad ever did.” I said and hoped he’d say yes. “I’d be honored.” He said and gave me a big hug just as Emma, Sabrina, Chrissy, Sierra, and Chloe burst through the doors. “Let’s get to work ladies!” Emma announced and Chloe gave Matty a kiss before he left. Let’s hope nothing else goes wrong.
Oliver’s Point of View
There is now exactly one hour until the wedding begins and I’m honestly more nervous than I’ve ever been. Matty, who is my best man, was trying to comfort me and calm me down but nothing seemed to be working. We are allowed a single drink so I guess now is as good as ever to have mine. I got a glass of wine and quickly drank it as if it would disappear if I waited any longer. “Tom, is Sierra here?” I asked my brother and he nodded in response as he tied his tie. I should probably get my tux on now. I looked in the mirror at the shiny black shoes, black pants- which are actually black skinny jeans, with a white long sleeve shirt and black overcoat. My tie was blue because Abby says she like the color on me. I walked out and the guys all began to say how good I looked but I brushed them off, I’m too damn nervous to talk to people right now. I keep forgetting my vows and what to say when and god I’m going to fuck up.
Abby’s Point of View
I looked in the mirror while all the girls gathered behind me. My dress was white-ivory white a sweetheart neckline. It had jewels on it that lay just below my breasts and was laced with rows of lace and jewels on the bottom of the dress. My veil was white and had lace on it. To hold the veil in place was a small silver tiara. I was wearing my white heels with the jewels on the top. My hair was perfectly curled and my makeup was dark but not overbearing. I had gotten a French manicure done on my nails yesterday and I had in silver earrings. My bouquet of flowers was white and maroon with lace ribbon holding it together. Yes, I’m aware everything has a lot of lace and ribbon on it. My bridesmaids had on identical dresses to one another except for each one’s color was different. Emma’s was light blue, Chloe’s was light purple, Sabrina’s was white, Chrissy’s was black, Sierra’s was red, Makayla’s was dark purple, and Lilly’s was brown. They all had on neutral colored makeup and were wearing black heels. Their hair was styled into a fancy bun type thing… and their bouquets were all white with a white ribbon holding them together. My flower girl was wearing a white dress that had a silver sash with a silver rose pinned to it. Her flower basket was white and so were her little shoes with bows on the toes. She had a head band made of white flowers and a pearl necklace. “Abby, you look breath taking.” I heard a man’s voice say from behind me and I smiled to myself. “Thank you.” I said and he walked in front of me to look at me better. “I can’t believe my baby sister is getting married before I am.” He said and I laughed. “How long until we walk?” I asked and he checked his watched. “Five minutes, better start heading down the hall.” He said and I nodded. I couldn’t wait to get outside and see what it looked like out there, I love this time of year but I wish we could’ve gotten a date in November so we might have had a little bit of snow.
