Abby’s Point of View

It’s been a week since the guys got back from tour and since I rented a space for my new café! I can’t wait until it’s finally open; yesterday Oli went with me when I went to pick out tables and the counters. It’s coming together really nicely and I think it’s going to look great. I heard a soft knock at my door, I looked up form my computer when Oli walked in. “Hello, Love.” He said with a warm smile. “Hey,” I said and he sat next to me, “What’s up?” I asked and he shrugged. “Abby, I got a place across town; it’s not too far away.” He said and my heart sank, he was moving out already? “Why are you leaving?” I asked and he just looked away from me. “I feel like I’ve intruded enough, I did tell Matt I would look for a place and that I wouldn’t stay long. You can help me decorate if you want…it’s mean a lot to me, you’re good with that stuff.” He said and I felt my cheeks heat up. “Sure Oli, when are you moving?” I asked and he pulled out his phone and checked the calendar. “I can move in by Saturday.” He mumbled, it was Wednesday so that gives us three days. “Okay, are you sure you have to go?” I asked and he nodded. Sigh. I guess there’s nothing I can do. My phone rang and I picked it up. “Hello?” I asked and I heard the voice on the other line clear their throat. “Hello Abby, its Mike. Would you like to pick the rest of your items you need for your shop today?” he asked and I almost squealed in excitement. “Sure, where?” “At the shop.” He said and I hung up. I was going there in twenty minutes. “Shoo.” I said to Oli and he chuckled and lay down on my bed. “Oli.” I whined and dragged out the i in his name. “Abbyyyyy….” He said and I laughed. “Oli, I have to get changed! I have meet Mike so I can pick out the rest of my stuff!” I said and he just settled down more into my bed. I walked over to my wardrobe and I picked out on outfit.  I grabbed white skinny jeans and a purple sparkly top. I went into my washroom to change quickly and brush my hair and teeth. I put on the usual eye liner and mascara and I put on my white beanie. I slid on my new bracelet from Oli. I walked out of my washroom and put on my black boots. “Ready?” Oli asked and I nodded, we decided to walk there because it was pretty nice outside.

When we got there Mike was waiting outside for us, we greeted him and we all went inside. “Here are the paint samples and some chairs and booths.” He said and handed me the book. The flooring was already in, it was laminate but it looked like hardwood. It was a light brown with tints of dark brown in it; the tables were simple, they were silver and grey. The light fixtures would be in tomorrow, they were like non-fancy chandeliers. I picked out the paints I wanted and the chairs. The chairs were black and some were silver, and cushioned; the outside chairs were rounded at the top and the inside chairs weren’t. I looked around the shop; it’s going too cool when it’s done! I thanked him and we left. “Want to do lunch?” Oli asked and I smiled, he’s too sweet. “Sure, where?” I asked and he just shrugged his shoulders. We ended up going to a pizza shop and getting two slices to go. We walked home, one of my hands was holding my pizza in its little box and the other was intertwined with Oli’s.

It had been a few hours since we got home and I just realized that Matt wasn’t home, I don’t think he was home when we left earlier. I picked up my phone and dialed his number, it went straight to voicemail. Bastard. “Oli, do you know where Matt went?” I yelled from my room. I heard the shuffling of feet and Oli was standing in my doorway and shaking his head. “I think he may have said he was going to visit someone, but I don’t know.” He said and walked back to his room. After lunch all he has been doing is packing. I know he’s just moving a few minutes away I’m still going to miss him. Sigh. I tried to call Matt again but still no answer. I called Lee, “Hello?” he said down the phone. “Hey Lee, have you heard from Matt at all today?” I asked. “No, why?” he said and I sighed. “Alright, just wondering. Let me know if he calls!” I said and hung up. “Oli, I’m starting to worry.” I said and I heard Oli groan from the next room over. I walked into his room and he was face down on his bed. “Babe, what’s wrong?” I said and I tried to glance at his phone which was unlocked but he was partly lying on top of it. “Nothing.” He said and stood up. “Oli, something’s wrong.” I said and followed him as he walked out the door. “It’s nothing, alright? I’m going to finish packing when I get back, I’ll see you later.” He said before grabbing his keys and slipping on his shoes and walking out the door. I wonder what that was all about.
