Abby’s Point of View

It’s like what, three in the morning? What the hell did I eat to make me so sick? I’ve been bent over the toilet for the past twenty minutes; I felt my hair being pulled back right before I threw up again. “Are you alright, Love?” I heard his voice ask, concerned. “I’m fine Babe, why don’t you go back to bed, I’ll be alright.” I said and he just knelt next to me. “No, I’m fine; I want to make sure you’re going to be okay. What happened?” he asked and I thought back to the events of last night and I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. “Did you have one of Corey’s cinnamon shots?” he asked and I turned to face him. “Cinnamon?” I repeated confused. “Yeah, he had cinnamon, I didn’t think you’d take one because those are really strong.” He said and I shook my head. “I didn’t have any of the shots Corey made, I know I had a few of the ones you made and one of the ones Lee brought, but that’s all.” I said before I quickly turned back to the toilet and threw up again. “Maybe we should go later today, maybe after breakfast?” he suggested and I just shrugged. “No, it’s fine I could even just get a ride home from someone who is leaving today. I don’t want to make you leave early because of me.” I said and he pushed my hair behind my ears. “If you go, I’m going; and by the looks of it you should go.” He said and I just shrugged again, “Actually, I’m not giving you a choice; we’re leaving later.” He said and I tried to protest but I threw up again and I realized Oli was right and we should leave today. “If I don’t throw up for twenty minutes, can we go out on the boat one last time?” I asked and he nodded and walked out of the bathroom and a few moments later I heard the back door open and then shut. It was kind of cute how protective Oli was being…kind of like when Matty got mad at the two of us, and still is mad for that matter. I heard the door open and shut again and Oli appeared in front of me. “Here, change into these when you’re ready.” He said and held out a pair of sweat pants and a hoodie to me. “You’re too sweet.” I said with a small smile, he just smiled and then walked out. I heard him shut a bedroom door and I figure he’s getting changed too. I saw his wrists the other day and they’re looking a little better; I didn’t want to say anything because I could be wrong but I think I saw a few fresh scars on his wrists but I could be mistaken. I stood up and shut the door and looked in the mirror, my hair looked like shit and my pajamas were dirty because I slipped in the grass on the way to the house this morning. I got out of my dirty clothes and put on the blue sweat pants and my happy emoticon hoodie Oli brought in for me. I brushed my teeth before I slipped on my Toms that I had worn into the house; I opened the door and Oli was sitting on a chair in the living room and looking through some magazine. I scooped up my small pile of dirty clothes and walked out of the washroom. “Ready to go?” he asked and I nodded and followed him outside, we stopped at the tent and threw our dirty clothes in and I grabbed my camera; I’ve been taking a lot of pictures lately. I don’t know why, but I just have been.

We walked to the doc and got into the row boat. “The sun will start to rise soon.” Oli said when he started to row; he rowed until we got to the cute little beach and he got out and helped me out. “How did you like this little camping trip?” he asked as we began to walk along the beach. “It was amazing, thank you so much I really enjoyed it.” I said and he smiled. “I’m glad you liked it, and thanks for coming with me; I would’ve been bored out of my mind without you.” He said and laced out fingers together. We walked barefoot along the beach for what only seemed like a few minutes but I guess it’s been over an hour because I could see the sun starting to peek over the hills. I slid my camera out of my pocket and turned so I was facing the sunrise and I sat down. I began to take pictures and Oli sat beside me. “Can I take a few of us?” I asked and he chuckled. “Haven’t you been doing that this entire trip?” he asked and I blushed. “So that’s a yes?” I asked and he nodded with a laugh. I turned my camera around and hit the button a few times so that I got a few pictures. I turned it back around so I could look at them. “Well, aren’t we attractive?” Oli said with a laugh. Our hair was a mess and we looked tired as hell; but we still looked happy, and that’s all that matters in my eyes. I laid back so my head was in Oli’s lap and he began to play with my knotted hair, he ran his fingers down the side of my face and I smiled up at him. I closed my eyes, but just for a second.

Oliver’s Point of View

She closed her eyes and not even thirty seconds later she was asleep, she looked so adorable when she was sleeping. There was no emotion on her face, yet she looked so peaceful. She’s been sleeping for over an hour now and the sun is up and I think people at the camp site will be getting up soon but there’s no rush to get back to them. She began to stir in my lap and her eyes slowly opened. “Morning Cutie.” I said and smiled down at her. “Morning, why didn’t you wake me?” she asked and I just shrugged. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked over to me. “You were asleep for an hour so I had time.” I said and she laughed and continued to run her fingers through her smooth hair. “Can we go back?” she asked and I nodded and we headed back to the boat.

We had eaten breakfast and packed up our things and our tent before most people were awake. I was carrying the last of the things to the car while Abby was talking to Lee about something I didn’t care to stick around to hear. I was on my way back over to them when I saw Matty coming over towards us so I turned and went inside to find Corey. “Hey mate, we’re going to get going.” I said when I found him in the kitchen. “Yeah I know mate, your girl was just in here not too long ago and she told me. I’ll see you around.” He said and I nodded. “Thanks for the invite, it’s always lots of fun!” I said and with that I walked out. I met up with Abby who was standing outside the car, “Can we go now?’ she asked uncomfortably whilst looking in the direction of Matty. “Sure Love, is he giving you shit?” I asked and she nodded slightly while getting into the car. “He was glaring at me and when he started to talk to me I walked away; still don’t want to deal with him.” She said when I got into the car and started it. We waved goodbye and then began driving home. “Are you staying at my place still?” I asked and she just shrugged. “If you want me there, if not I can find somewhere; anywhere but my place.” She mumbled the last part. “Of course I want you at my place!” I exclaimed and she smiled then reached over and put her hand on m thigh. “It’s all going to be okay, right?” she asked, referring to the situation with Matty. “I wish I could defiantly say yes.” I sighed and she did too.
