Chapter 6

Katniss POV

(On the phone with Annie)

"It was so awkward!"

"Why would you tell him you have a crush and all that other stuff?"

"He thought I was on my period."

"So?"

"So, I would rather have him know I have a crush rather then that."

"Know he might bug you about it."

"Knowing Peeta he probably won't."

"He might."

"I'll just call him and say sorry."

"But what are you sorry about?"

"The awkwardness yesterday."

She laughs

"Okay Kat you go do that."

(End of call)

I decide to go over to the bakery to talk to Peeta rather then over the phone.

I drive over there and find out Peeta isn't there.

"He just want to the store." His dad informs me

"Okay thanks!"

How am I supposed to keep this 'secret crush' from Peeta when it's him.

(1 week later)

"Do they go to our school?" Peeta asks

"Yes." I say laughing

"What's so funny?" He says laughing slightly now also

"Nothing. Nothing." I say laughing even more

"Do I know him?"

"Mhm" I say containing my laughter

"What's his name?"

"I'm not telling you Peeta!"

"Okay, okay! I'll stop!"

"Do you want to go grab something to eat while we are out?"

"Sure!"

He drives us over to a nice little restaurant and we enjoy a nice little meal.

"Thank you Peeta! I really appreciate it!" I tell him as we walk out

"My pleasure! Do you want me to drop you off at your house?"

"Yeah that'd be great!"

He drops me off and I can't help but smile. I like him so much but I don't think he will ever know.
