Chapter 21

Katniss POV

"And this is the cafeteria." I say finishing off the tour I just gave Jack of the school.

I walk him into the cafeteria and over to where my group is.

Peeta gives me a look.

I smile "This is my group of friends. Peeta my boyfriend, Finnick and Annie, they are dating also, Johanna, Gale, and Glimmer but she isn't here right now."

Finnick smiles "Who is this?"

Before I can talk Jack beats me to it.

"I'm Jack. I'm new here."

"Oh you're the new student!" Annie exclaims

Peeta puts on a fake smile "Nice to meet you."

"You too." Jack says back

There is a big sense of tension right now so I go ahead and have Jack sit down, and explain everything.

"So Jack and I were actually best friends in Elementary School. Before I met Peeta. Since we were next door neighbors but then in 3rd grade he had to move. So we haven't seen each other until now" I explain to them

Jack moves his brown hair out of his eyes and agrees. "Yeah we just moved back a couple weeks ago."

"That's cool!" Annie comments

"Yeah maybe you can become apart of our group. I know I don't mind." Finnick says

"Yeah that would be a lot of fun!" I join in

"Yeah." Peeta says quietly

Johanna and Gale just stay out of the conversation playing on their phones.

(After school, at Katniss's house)

"You don't like him do you?" I ask Peeta referring to Jack, and our conversation at lunch.

Peeta objects"No,I do!"

I laugh "Somebody's jealous!"

"I'm not jealous. I'm just a little, a little uh-"

I laugh and finish his sent down for him  "Jealous."

"No!"

"Okay let's get this straight. I don't like Jack Peeta! I like you!" I explain to him like he is a child

"I know but look at Jack he has those emerald green eyes and his nice straight brown hair." Peeta says obviously jealous

"But you have those blue eyes that I fall in love with every time I look at you and that ashy blond hair that I love to mess with." I explain sticking my hand through his nice hair and messing it up.

He laughs "Thank you."

I don't get why Peeta thinks that someday I'm just going to wake up and not like him anymore. He thinks that I'm going to like someone else, but in honestly it should be reversed. Peeta is the handsomest man at our school and everyone wants him.

So sometimes I just have to remind him that I will always want him.

"I love you Peeta." I say giving him a kiss on the cheek

He laughs "You missed."

I give him a questioning look.

"You missed."

Then I get the message.

I give him a nice long kiss on the lips.

"I love you too."
