one i arrived home i saw Harper and jack on the sofa chatting about back home and how much she misses it. i walked in and went straight to my room after saying hi to jack and acting mad at Harper for ditching me. i told her that if she missed it so much then she should come back when i go at the end of the month.
the only reason i was in la was because i was offered an amazing chance to work with some of the top architects in the area to potentially get a job at the end of the 8 month course. the directors of the course said i could choose how often i went back to school to do my sixth form as I'm only 17. i chose to do all of the months in one year but spread out so i go back to England every 2 months of being in the states. for me, this is the chance of a lifetime because ever since i was 13 it had been my dream to become an architect and what I'm doing now gives me a bigger and better chance. I'm also paid monthly depending on how well i contribute to each project and i also get a non changeable salary monthly as well which helps me pay for everything. Harper was in the states because she moved there last year and finally convinced her mum to let her move out the the house.
after a few minutes of ignoring Harper... i told her all about Grayson and how creepy it was but yet cute. she just rolled her eyes at me and stated the obvious... that he liked me. i denied it whilst blushing. she suggested that we go to the beach but i told her that if we did i would need to get changed, which i did. i changed into a floral top that was very flowy with my bikini top on underneath. i paired this with some high waisted shorts and some Steve Madden sandals. i packed a towel in my bag and took my hair out of the bun. i shoved my sunglasses on and we all left for the beach. we decided to walk as it would be easier than getting sand in my car.
once we arrived at the beach i went to go and get some ice creams as the two of them went to get some loungers. i got to the ice-cream stand and asked for 2 chocolates and one vanilla (for jack) i carried them over to Harper and jack who were getting ready to go in the water. Harper asked me if i wanted to go in but i turned the opportunity down. i took of my top and shorts so i was only in my bikini and i layed down on the lounger to relax and tan. after a few minutes i heard someone say my name. i looked up and saw that they were blocking my sun. it was Grayson.
"hey Grayson..." i said sitting up and looking at him
"so you could've come to the beach then?" he said in a jokey tone.
i nodded and looked over at Harper. "it was a last minute decision" i said back.
"do you want to go for a walk?" he asked me.
Harper came over and started to dry herself as she began to sunbathe. i introduced her and raised my eyebrow at her as if i was asking for permission to leave her. she raised her eyebrow back. i got up and put my shorts on and picked up my sandals incase the sand got too hot on my feet. i walked along the beach for a bit and we talked about everything pretty much. his brother came over and said hi again until a ball was thrown at him by Nate who then ran off with Ethan chasing him away.
"haha, sorry about them" Grayson said as we walked off down the beach again.
"dont apologise... haha its fine" i then said back.
i told him all about my work and how I'm only in la for some of the time. i also told him about Harper and her boyfriend as i was running out if things to say to him. the time was about 3 pm when i told him that i should probably go back to Harper as i had been away for around an hour. i checked my phone to see if i had any messages and i did... it was from Harper asking if i had kissed him yet. i think he saw the message because i heard him chuckle slightly. on the way back we talked some more and for some reason i felt like i had known him for ages even thought we had only met that day. Nate and Ethan saw us from their loungers and came walking towards us. all three of them started talking so i looked off into the water and thought about going to work tomorrow. i ended up day dreaming for a bit.
"Ava... Ava, do you want to?" i heard Grayson say
"want to what... sorry i was day dreaming..." i said back to him
"do you want to come to the hollywood hills on the weekend for a hike?"
"um... yeah sure, sounds like a plan!" i said back to him with a smile on my face. he smiled back with a cheeky smile.
