8: Meeting everyone

once i eventually got home from work i got in the elevator. there was a couple in there kissing. when i walked I'm i cleared my throat to make an indication that there was someone in the elevator with them. i looked over at them once they stopped kissing and noticed that it was one of my best friends,

"Lucy?!... what the heck are you doing I'm my building?" i said as my voice got higher,

"oh my god! Ava! i haven't see you in ages!" we then hugged and he introduced me to her new boyfriend; zack colton. she said that they were in town and decided to surprise me which failed so here they were. she asked me if i was seeing anyone but i said no, i didn't bother telling her about Grayson as i didn't want to cause drama with Lucy of all people. we got up to the 6th floor which was the floor i lived on and invited them in. we all decided to go out for dinner as a celebratory meal for Lucy's travels of the US. i got changed into my new dress and some of my ballet flats. i didn't often wear heels as 1. i couldn't walk in them properly and 2. i was 5ft 8 so i would end up being around 6ft tall in heels. we went to Applebee's as there was one about a 15 minute drive from our apartment. we decided to take Harper car as she had a big Chevrolet equinox which can fit more people in than my car. dinner was nice, i had a burger and fries which is usually my go to at Applebee's

on the car ride back, we went to Lucy's hotel so we could drop her off, Grayson called me and i put it on speaker for everyone to hear.

"gray, your on speaker.." i said

"hey everyone!" he said

everyone then said hi and Lucy looked at me and asked me who he was.

"who are you with? he then asked me,

"I'm with Lucy, zack, jack and Harper." i said to him

"aww! your the only one without a date!" he said which made everyone laugh

"aww... your so funny!" i said sarcastically.

he then put me on speaker and i just heard Ethan shout something.

"he's playing Mario kart..." he said whilst laughing

"oh... haha, i should probably go but ill call you back when i get home... see ya!" everyone then shouted bye and that was the end of our conversation.

"Ava...who is Grayson" Lucy asked me surprised

"her boyfriend" Harper said from the front seat

"your what!"

"no! i don't have a boyfriend and he is not my boyfriend... just friends" i said as i looked out of the window.

"you like him don't you!" Lucy bellowed in excitement.

"no! hes cute but no!" i said in defence.

the two of them went back to their hotel and we said we would catch up on the weekend. Lucy told me that she wanted to meet Grayson so i texted him to see if he wanted to meet up on the weekend. he said that he was free until 9pm as he has to catch a flight to new jersey. we decided that all of us... including Ethan and some of their friends would go to the beach for a bit. Grayson seamed really eager to hang out with me on the weekend. i was quite excited to see if everyone got along.
