The news about Harper moving to Phoenix was a lot to take in. especially since she had been there for me through thin and thick: tough and easy; sane and insane. she was my rock for at least a year and helped me get up on my feet through my entire career, especially the training part of architecture.

"i was thinking about inviting my mum to come and see the new apartment," i said to Grayson over the phone.

"yeah, that sounds like a great idea," he agreed but his concentration seemed elsewhere,

"whats going on?" i asked slyly,

"sorry... the game is on and Ethan keeps getting annoyed at Cam," he said sounding sincere,

"thats perfectly fine... shall i leave you to watch the game?"

"only if you're okay with that," he said,

"yeah, thats okay with me," i said with a smile before we said our goodbyes and hanging up.

for the rest of the day i ran some errands and even called up Harper to see how she was and to see how Peanut was because i missed her and i know it's sad but when i gave her to Harper i cried for 3 days straight.

---

the next day, i went over to the airport to pick up the Dolan's since their flight was getting in at 10.

the traffic to the airport was quite quiet which was strange because every time i had been over to airport (which was a lot of times) i had to sit in traffic for a good 10 plus minutes.

i waited in the pick up point where I'm pretty sure the security guard knew who i was since i was always at the pick up point for some one wether it be Grayson, Ethan or my family.

i pulled out my book from my bag and began to read, as soon as i saw one of the security guards go inside i knew something was up.

i peered out of the car window to see a bunch of teenage girls crowding around someone or some people. as i looked closer, i realised it was the twins so i decided to carry on reading my book since i didn't know when else i was going to read it.

a few minutes later, the security was ushering them into my car and shooing me away.

just another day picking up the Dolan's from the airport.

"hey babe," Grayson said as soon as he got into the car,

"hey," i said back to him with a smile,

"i'm here too," Ethan let me know,

"hello E,"

"hey Ava," he said back to me clearly looking happy for himself,

"how was everything over in New jersey?" i asked them as i pulled out of the pick up point,

"we did a small meet and greet which the police had to supervise," Ethan sighed,

"that means...?" i asked dragging out my words,

"-that they stood in front of us like shields," Grayson laughed,

"literally," Ethan added,

"sounds like fun," i said to them as i drove onto the main road,

"very,"

"did it snow a lot there?" i asked feeling a bit of tension in the air,

"just a bit but no more than it did when you were there," Grayson said staring out of the window,

"there was a thunderstorm yesterday,"

"really? a thunderstorm?" Ethan asked surprised by what i said,

"yeah, why?" i asked,

"i really like LA thunderstorms, theres just something about them,"

"you would love Florida then," i muttered which made Grayson laugh at what i said.

when we got back to the apartment, Grayson instantly went through to our room to have a look at the bed that i put together all by myself and that i was very pleased with,

"this bed looks awesome," he said jumping on it and then pulling a face when there was a click,

"what was that?" he asked looking scared and slowly getting off of it,

"i dont think the warranty covers jumping on the bed," i said as i kicked the frame lightly with my foot to see if it creaked, and when it didn't, Gray sighed of relief and walked through to the open plan to grab his bags,

"when's the rest of your stuff getting here?" i asked him as he wheeled the case through to our room,

"hopefully soon... or i might need to do some shopping," he said as i assessed the content of his case and his shoulders dropped,

"we could go tomorrow... i need to get some spring clothes anyway since me and Harper pretty much shared all of our clothes," i shrugged,

"sounds great... how's my car?" he asked as his eyes lit up,

"still there and still dark grey with the tan interior," i said to him grinning,

"what have you done?" he asked assessing my facial expression,

"shall we go see?" i offered, "E you might want to come and see this as well," i said grinning.

there was something he did not know, i put tin foil (aluminium foil) all around his car but luckily it didn't heat up too much because it was in the underground parking.

"why? did you do something to his car?" he asked happily,

"maybe,"

"this is so not cool... i didn't ask for a girlfriend that pranked me," Grayson murmured in the elevator,

"well you got one," i said with a small kiss which he didn't seem to keen to return,

as soon as we got down to the underground parking lot, his face dropped as he looked over at his gorgeous Evoque that was covered in about 20 layers of foil,

"no... no why did you do this!" he cried in more of a whine than a cry,

"good luck. also, its glued down with super glue," i said to him,

"you super glued my car?!"

"no... just the layers of foil are super glued together," i assured him,

"oh thank goodness," he sighed relieved,

"i cant believe you did this," Ethan said as he pulled out his phone and took snapchat videos of the moment,

"guys! look what Ava just did to her boyfriends car! SAVAGE!" he laughed to his followers,

in the end, Grayson pulled his phone out and had a small rant as Ethan pulled layers of the foil off of the car as he lost a round of rock-paper-scissors and had to take off all of the foil,

"at least you didn't do this to my car," Ethan said to me with a laugh,

just as he did, i peered over at his car and frowned at the fact i should've covered up his black Grand Cherokee.

i looked back at Grayson's priceless face.

absolutely priceless.
