42: the giant photo

when we got back from the trip, we still had 3 hours until they boys had to go on stage so we decided to do a little bit of shopping around the city.

the first shop we went into, the guys went a bit crazy and bought quite a few things such as warm clothes for New Jersey and the rest of their time in England.

then, we took a small trip over to the Hollister they had in the city and i felt quite obliged to go and check it out since i was a face for them.

"if you see me, let me know," i said as i started to look through the racks of clothing,

"hey Ava, i found you!" Grayson exclaimed as soon as he turned a corner,

i looked to where he was pointing and saw that it was in fact me. i was posing by the ocean wearing an oversized jumper and some light wash jeans with my hair pushed over to one side of my face.

"you look good," he said to me,

"thanks Gray," i said,

i continued to look around the shop and decide to purchase a dress and another pair of jeans as well as a gorgeous kint jumper that was ombre from cream to black.

as i walked over to the till, i saw that behind the till where there was a floor to ceiling picture.

"whoa," Grayson breathed as we approached the till,

"found you," Ethan said with a laugh,

behind the till, on the picture was a photo of me in a bikini beside a floral surfboard.

"i'm not going to mention it," i said to the boys as i got to the till,

"hey, is this it for today?" the kind woman behind the till asked,

"yeah, that's it thanks," i said as she scanned each item,

"hang on," she said looking at Ethan and Grayson, "are you guys the Dolan twins?" she asked and i could see she was having a mini fan moment.

they both nodded and then the three of them had a few minute conversation before she decided to bag my stuff.

the bags were on the ledge at the back wall where my photo was and as she went over to grab the paper bag, she looked up at my photo and then came back over to me,

"i love that models bikini, i bought it just because she was wearing it," she said with a smile and then she narrowed her eyes at me,

Grayson elbowed my side lightly as the lady furrowed her brows,

"hang on..." she said and then looked back at the picture, "are you Ava Richards?" she asked me and her eyes widened in realisation,

i nodded at her and then she jumped up and down for a little bit, "oh my god!" she exclaimed with her long hair bouncing around behind her shoulders,

i smiled at her as she called over one of her colleagues from the male department and he came over and then looked at me and then back at the wall,

"whoa, you're probably the first proper model to come here," he said and then the rest of her colleagues erupted form the stairs and the boys were standing there laughing because this was the first time i had properly been recognised for my modelling and i loved it,

in the end, the whole 10 of us, took a group photo, including the twins and then the lady gave me the stuff after i scanned my discount and told me something really sweet, "I'm going to put this on the desk," she said referring to the picture and i thanked her and then we all left the shop.

"how sweet were they?" i said to the guys happily,

"they were so sweet," Ethan cooed at me for being recognised,

i smiled at the guys before we continued our short shopping trip.

all three of us were recognised by a few of their fans and i ended up taking quite a lot of pictures that day.

when it was time for us to head over to the show, we hopping in the car that was sent for us and then we arrived at the venue with around half an hour to spare.

"hey guys," Alex said as he walked through to the backstage area,

"hey," we all said at the same time,

"see, you're spending too much time with the twins that you're now talking like them," Alex said jokingly,

"she got recognised today," Grayson blurted out,

"really?" Alex asked me,

"yeah, in Hollister... but only because my picture was huge and sitting behind the counter," i refreshed their memory,

"was it the surf board one?" Alex asked,

"yeah. how did you know?" i asked him,

"i went in there yesterday and i saw it was you. i meant to text you about it but forgot," Alex confessed.

my phone buzzed and i looked down to see what it was.

i had been tagged in an Instagram post and an twitter post by the two of them.

i looked on Grayson's account to see my picture and then he had captioned it saying 'my baby in a bikini #Hollister' he had also tagged Hollister in the pic.

Ethan had posted an extremely similar thing and then i had seen that Hollister had posted a few pictures from my photo shoot around 3 weeks ago and they introduced me as their 'new Hollister Gal'.

"okay guys, ready to go on?" the stage manager asked as he came through the door,

the three boys looked at each other and then followed the guy through to the stage with me tagging along to stand by the wings.

without a doubt, the show was amazing and extremely funny.

Grayson was great on stage. it made me love him even more.
