Prologue

"Hey, Clyde!" Brianna smiles brightly. I can't help grinning back at her. "Hi, Bri!" As I say that I feel a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. "Hello, Drew." I smirk. "What's up, Clyde?" He asks, turning me around to face him. "Oh my god get over yourselves, and just date already!" Bri squeals. I roll my eyes, and get my books out of my locker. The funny thing is that all three of us know what Bri said is true.

Bri, Drew, and I have been friends for a very long, long, long time. Mine and Drew's parents are really close friends, so naturally we became really close friends too. Bri joined our little group back in fifth grade when she transferred to our school. It's hard to imagine what my life would be like if I had never met them.

I look over to Drew just to take him in. He's such a good looking guy. I love his dirty blonde hair, it always falls just right, not to messy but now too neat. He also has the most beautiful gray eyes with blue specks. Can I also just bring up that he has such a lean build. He's beautiful to say the least.

Trying not to get too caught up with Drew, I look over to where Bri is. Bri is a perky girl, standing at barely over five feet.  She has a beautiful, tan complexion, and has the silkiest long chocolate brown hair. But what really sets her apart are her hazel eyes, that make me super jealous.

I, on the other hand, have a spray of freckles over my nose, bright blue eyes, very long, honey colored hair, but I'm no where near as good looking as my best friends.

I walked along to my classes with Drew and Bri, and continued my day like I regularly would. It was a pretty great day over all, nothing too out of the ordinary.

After school, all three of us meet up at Drew's car. "So, how was your day?" Drew asks, looking at both Bri and I. "It was actually really great, but I think I might've totally failed my history test..." I responded. "Eh, it was okay, but you will never guess what I'm about to tell you!"  Bri chirped happily. "I don't even think I want to know." I groaned. Bri is always getting us into trouble, but we still love her anyways. Drew tries to suppress a smile. He totally knows something that I don't.

"I am throwing a party!" She squeals. Oh no. Oh no no no no no. "You know I don't go to parties! Knowing my luck, the party would get busted, and I'd be the only one to get caught." I frowned. I hate to be a stiff, but I have my future to think about. If I got caught I would never be a world class neonatal surgeon, and that would really, really suck. "Great! Drew will pick you up at 7." Bri says cheekily. "This is the one and only time Bri, I'm not even going to stay long." I say sternly. I might as well give in, because she will never stop asking me about it if I don't.

Drew and Bri pull up in front of my house. "We'll see ya later at the party." Bri smiled. I frowned at her, "Yea, see ya."

I walked to the front door of my very big house. I hate living here, it just screams money. My parents got lucky a few years ago and won the lottery. You would think it's great, but it really isn't. All of a sudden I have a billion "friends" who want to go out to eat, to the movies, or shopping. And guess who gets stuck with the bill, me. I try not to let it bother me too much, because I want to be grateful for what I have.

But it does have it's pros, like all the new clothes. I also get an endless supply of food, so that's pretty cool. I'm still surprised I'm not fat from all the food I eat. My mom says she had a good metabolism, so I guess I'm just lucky.

I enter my house to see my mom on the couch eating a huge bag of chocolate, some people never change. "Hey mom." I say. She tries to get up from the couch, but she ends up just falling off. "Ugh. Oh, hi, sweetie." I just crack up. Yep, that's my mom. She looks kind of like me in a way, but I look more like my dad, I think. My mom has the same honey brown hair, but I have the same blue eyes as my dad.
