Chapter 10
Drew's POVAll around me I could hear teenage girls sniffling and crying. I sighed, and leaned back in my chair. When was this movie going to be over? I groaned, shifting into a more comfortable position.
Looking next to me, I saw a teary-eyed Brianna clutching my hand. "I'm going to go to the bathroom, okay?" I said smiling a fake smile. She nodded, and attempted to smile.
Getting out of the theater, I headed towards the bathroom. That movie is so horrible, I would do anything to get out of there. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, and I accidentally bumped into someone.
"I'm so sorry!" I tried to apologize. It was Clyde's dad I bumped into. "Oh hey Drew. Its fine, no harm done." He smiled warmly, patting me on the back. "Hey." Clyde smiled. I waved to her shyly. "We were about to go see the latest action movie, wanna come?" Garrett grinned. "Uh sorry I can't. I sorta came here with Brianna to see the latest chickflick." I frowned. "Oh tough luck. See you around then." Garrett said.
I continued on my way to the bathroom when I realized Clyde was following. I turned the corner, and she grabbed me by the wrist. We were in a secluded spot now, where no one could see us. "Clyde what are you-" She cut me off by crashing her lips to mine. At first I was stunned, but then started kissing back. After a while, I think realization hit us both, and we pulled away.
Leaning against the wall breathless, Clyde whispered something to me. "This didn't happen." She spoke lowly. "But Clyde-" I said trying to make sense of what happened. She looked me in the eye and spoke sternly, "This. Didn't. Happen." I nodded, and she briskly walked away.
When I was heading back to the theater, all The girls seemed to be sobbing crazily. I saw Brianna come out, and I caught her arm. "Oh hey." She tried to smile in acknowledgement. She looked like she had just cried buckets. "Where were you? You missed like the last twenty minutes." She asked.
Crap. What was I going to tell her? I couldn't lie to her, not more than I already have anyway.
"I uh ran into Clyde's dad and we started talking, sorry." I smiled, trying to cover up my discomfort. She nodded and continued to wipe her face of remaining tears.
After driving Brianna home, I thought I might as well go to bed seeing it is already 11:20.
I slipped into bed and started thinking. I can't keep doing this. I can't keep leading Brianna on when I'm in love with Clyde. But then again, maybe I could to learn love Brianna because Clyde's dating Max. Clyde probably doesn't love me the way I love her anyway.
I needed to do this now or else I would never do it.
Ring.

Ring.
"Hello?"
"Hi Brianna, we need to talk."
