Chapter 12
Clyde's povI wake up in a strange setting. The warmth of the unfamiliar sheets startle me. Where the hell am I? I journey outside the beautifully decorated room I'm in, to the long hallway. When I make my way to the kitchen I see the man from last night.
"Good morning Sleeping Beauty." said the man making food. "What happened last night? I didn't do anything I'll regret right?" I said worried. "Nah, you're good." He said trying to hide his smile. "So what happened after I passed out?" I questioned. "Well I uh took you home, to my home I mean, and put you in my bed, while I slept on the couch." He said explaining while he finished up the food.
I walked over to the table and sat in one of the chairs. "I know you're still in high school" He said sliding my high school I.D. card over to me. I stayed silent, while I picked at my food. "I know it's not any of my business, but what brought you to the bar in the first place?" He asked taking the seat on the other side of the table. "Tough break up." I muttered.
This guy was a good cook, this omelet was surprisingly good.
"I never caught your name." He said looking at me. "It's Clyde, and yours?" "Brian." He answered simply.
When I finished my food I washed the plate off, and put the dish in the sink.
"So how old are you really Clyde?" He asked smirking. I couldn't suppress the smile that was coming on. "Seventeen, what about you, Brian?" I said in a teasing tone. "I'm nineteen, almost twenty." He smiled.
Oh my Lord, his smile. I could feel my heart beating loudly in my chest. Why am I feeling like this, is something wrong?
"I should be leaving." I said hoping, I could leave before I could get any worse. I said unlocking the front door. "How are you gonna get home?" He asked.
Damn you Brian!
You know you're hoping he'll take you home.
I am so not!
Don't even try to deny it.
Ah fuck you.
Why would you say something so rude to yourself?
"I can take you, if you want." Brian offered, interrupting my train of thought. I secretly was really happy that Brian offered to take me home. If you ever bring this up, I'll deny it right away.
We were pulling up to my driveway, and I was really sad my encounter with Brian was over. In these past ten minutes I realized we had a lot in common. Like, we both liked the same bands and we both have the same favorite color, green.
The car stopped, and I looked over at him. His hair light brown hair was disheveled and his light blue eyes were shining. "I guess this is goodbye." I said looking away. I quickly kissed his cheek and he turned red. "That was for taking care of me in one of my bad moments." I said opening the door and getting out. "Wait." He said grabbing my hand. My hand was tiny compared to his, and the warmth of his hand was comforting. "I wanna see you again." I smiled, "You will, I'm sure of it."
I could feel the sparks fly as he smiled at me, his dimples showing. When I went inside I fell against the door and had to steady my breath.
"Where in the hell were you?!"
My head snapped to the direction of the sound of the voice. It was my Dad looking quite angry. I've only seen him this angry once in my life, and that was the night of the incident. I stayed silent hoping I blended in with the door.
"You didn't come home last night." He said sternly. I didn't know what to say. Well lying wouldn't help me.
After telling my dad the whole truth, he freaked. He went on a screaming rampage about how I'm starting down a bad road and whatnot. When my dad finished yelling, he decided I was under house arrest for two weeks.
Lovely.
