Chapter 30
Clyde's POV
I couldn't take in what was happening. So there I was standing on the Davis' front lawn, wondering why everything was crumbling down around me. I had lost everything, for the second time in my life. Drew and Kira hated my guts, Nicole probably does too, and I know that Bri definitely does.
I am so selfish, all I can think about everyone hating me, when I gave them perfect reasons to. I've basically been using Drew as a crutch, I broke Nicole's Daughter nose, and I ruined my friendship with my two best friends.
I can't handle this anymore, I can't fucking handle this anymore! What the hell am I supposed to do?
Maybe I should just walk it off. Trying to get the people you love off your mind is hard. But every time I had a hard problem I went to the same place, I think we all knew where that is.
Walking to my favorite bar, I noticed something a bit different. There was a man making out with a girl. Now, I know this isn't that crazy, but this wasn't just a random guy it was Mr. Davis and some chick! Mr Davis being Drew's dad.
"Ryan?" I asked the man who's back was facing towards me. He turned around quickly and looked pretty shocked that he'd been caught. "What are you doing here?!" Mr. Davis asked wide eyed. "The better question is what are you doing here!" I yelled, anger coursing through me.
How could Ryan do this to Nicole?! She is pregnant with his baby! Cheating on her with such a skank too! Nicole doesn't deserve this good for nothing piece of shit.
"Beat it skank." I said venomously to the blonde hanging off of Ryan's arm. She immediately looked at Ryan for support. Like ew. "'Shay I think you should go." Ryan said gently removing her hand from his arm. "Next week then?" She asked batting his eyelashes at him. "We'll talk about this later." Ryan said pushing her hair behind her ear.
What the fuck was going on here?
"Clyde, let me explain." Ryan said as soon as 'Shay' left. "You better explain." I said giving him the death glare. "Nicole and I were never meant to be." He started. "I think you know what happened, but in case you don't, I'm going to tell you what happened." Ryan said. I nodded and waited for him to go on. I think I know what he's talking about, but I'm just going to keep quiet for now. "Nicole never loved me, and even if she did, it was more like she was convincing herself she loved me than actually really loving me." Ryan stated. "Of course Nicole loves you! She wouldn't be having your baby if she didn't!" I yelled. How could he be so stupid? Of course Nicole loved Ryan! Ryan laughed humorlessly, "You don't understand, she's in love with some one else." He paused. "It's not her fault, I know she tried to love me, but she just loved him too much. She never really got over him."
Ryan was talking about Drew, Kira's dad. Poor guy, loving his wife who would never love him back. If he loved his wife so much though, why did he go and cheat on her? It just wasn't making sense. I knew Ryan would get there though, so I just gave him his time.
"Who are you taking about?" I asked, even though I already knew he answer. "Drew, Kira's real dad. That's where she got the name for my son, the son that I gave her. It bothered me how much she still loves Drew, and I couldn't take it anymore. I just grew to hate her, and hate how she couldn't love me, no matter how hard she tried. So I- I cheated on her." Ryan said, falling apart at the end.
He had gone through so many emotions in that moment, and I could understand why he was so worked up. That doesn't make what he did wrong right though. He will never be able to take back all the times he cheated on Nicole.
"I feel like I need to tell her, I can't let us both keep living this lie anymore." Ryan said starting to walk off. Oh crap, he doesn't know does he? He probably wasn't called, or maybe he was but was just neglecting to answer. "Mr. Davis wait!" I called after him. "What is it Clyde?!" He snapped. "Nicole's in the hospital, she fell and I don't think she's doing to well." I answered solemnly. Ryan looked pissed. "Why wasn't I called, why didn't anybody tell me!" He yelled. "Probably because you were too busy cheating on your wife!" I yelled back. He had to remember that he was the bad guy here, not me. Ryan was speechless, but he was able to give me a dirty look and walk off to his car.
