We entered the restaurant. Everyone was seated at a long table. The three of us took our seats at the end, since those were the only open seats.
"Finally. The gang's all here!" Screeched my mom as she waved her hand for a waiter.
"What are you going to order? Jon asked.
"I don't know, I just got here." I said annoyed.
"Do you want to share a plate? I don't like Chinese that much. I'll probably buy food on the way home."
"Sure. I'm not that hungry anyways."
He smiled and we looked over the menu.
The dinner was like any other dinner. Roars of laughter, even though we were in public, jokes being told, stories, business, and all sorts like that. I haven't seen my parents in this great mood before.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarkson are truly my parents' best friends. I could tell they missed each other; my dad can talk business without having a complaints and my mom can go shopping without me whining about how she picked out bad clothes for me.
"So how was bowling?" I asked Jon.
"I lost.."
I laughed.
"You lost?! You never lose!"
"Ha-Ha. I was just going easy on people. Winning is over rated."
"Huh, since when did you start thinking that way?"
"No reasons. It just hit me."
"Yeah. Right." I finished the rest of the food. Jon barely touched it.
After two hours of talking. I know. The bill was paid and fortune cookies were passed around.
"I see success in the near future." Zale said eating his fortune cookie.
I usually eat the cookie first.
"Do not rush, patience is key." Crystal said. "I'm not a patient girl."
"Maybe that's why you got it." Joked Zale. Everyone laughed.
"One door closes, another opens." Jon said. "What the f- I mean what does that mean?"
I looked at my fortune, 'A decision is to be made, don't choose right away. Let your heart make the right one.'
"What does yours say Nic?" Jon said nudging into my ribs.
"Nothing." I said scrunching up the little rectangular paper.
"Alright. Is everyone ready to go?" My dad said rubbing his belly.
We all got out of our seats. I was grabbing my bag when I was nudged, falling over the chair. I'm going to kill Jon.
"Sorry. My bad." Said a familiar voice.
I scoffed. "Yeah, it was your bad." I grabbed my bag and left the restaurant.
What is that guy's problem? I hate him. It's like a game to him, huh. Trying to annoy the crap out of me. He knows it gets to me too. He's so annoying!
"I hate that guy." EJ said as he pulled out of the parking lot. "He tried hitting on Olivia."
"Why does it bother you, you two are just friends." Jon said resting his feet up on the dashboard.
"Exactly. I don't want her to get hurt. He's the type to go after girls for the wrong reasons. The way he bumped into Nic like that was unacceptable."
"He's in my photography class." I said looking out the window.
"You have him in your class?" Jon said turning around in his seat.
