Gotta Get Down on Friday

The next few days were a blur. I avoided Aiden during school and at home. It was just too awkward. I needed to clear my mind. I also lowered my feelings for Tristan and for Aiden, just so I could understand who I had more feelings for. But it didn't work out. I have equal feelings for both.

It's Friday morning and I have that 'date' with Aiden after school. If we're still going. We haven't spoken to each other. Maybe a 'Hey' or a 'what's up'. A few awkward glances. But that's it. Not like how we were before the kiss.

First period is the usual. Lecture and notes. Second period, everyone was going berserk because some didn't finish the essay and others were just worried that they didn't do it right. I finished mine on Wednesday. So I wasn't worried. I revised it all throughout Thursday.

Break went by quick, I guess it's because I hung out by my locker avoiding everyone. I just felt the need of my own space. People know my business and too much of it.

Oh and we got back our table. The freshmen gave up and just decided to leave us alone so they don't have drama.

Since my parents will be gone for the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clarkson, EJ and Jon decided to throw a party tonight. I mean, why our house? Why not Dylan's house. That's what sucks about having a big house. I usually stay in my room or lock my room and hangout in my parents' room or vice versa. I don't want random people doing business in our rooms.

I feel bad for both avoiding my best friends, my cousins, my brothers, Aiden and Tristan. I've talked to Zale a few times to help him with Jayde. So far, they're talking. I haven't seen Jayde light up so much when she's around him or anyone.

The bell rang signaling for fourth. I sighed and shuffled through my locker, putting away my book and taking my notebooks. I closed my locker and jumped when I saw Aiden leaning on the lockers.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He said in a hush tone. I started walking towards my class.

"It's fine." I rolled my eyes. I really don't want to talk to him.

"So are we still up for movies later? I've been meaning to ask you earlier but it seemed like you didn't want to talk after –"

"Look, I have to get to class. I didn't think it was canceled." I forced a smile and entered class.

"Hey, where were you at break?" Tristan whispered.

"Hi, I needed stuff at my locker and forgot to do homework."

"Are you going to the party at your house tonight?"

"Do I have a choice? I wouldn't go though if it wasn't at my house."

 "Oh."

"In fact, I don't actually attend the party; I just lock myself in a room."

"By yourself?"

"Yup. Are you going?"

"I was. Or well it depends."

"Oh, On?"

"See I was just going to go to hang out with you at the party."

"Oh, well I won't be at the party, but you could hang out with me in the room. I mean the party gets bad."

"Cool. That's a better idea."

I smiled and doodled. I spend a lot of time doodling and yet, I still do well in all of my classes, especially math. Mr. Roque asked me if I wanted to get bumped up to pre-cal, but I denied his offered. He also asked me to tutor his algebra 1 students and geometry students. I agreed to it. It counts as extra credit and it will look good on my college applications.
