Everyone became silently tense from seeing the massive Telmarine army, which motivated Peter to brainstorm a plan. But suddenly, an idea popped to his mind like a lightning.
"Edmund, I need you to gather everyone up in the basement hall." Peter instructed, then his younger brother then lead his sisters, Caspian, Bastila, Trumpkin, the professor and several others to the basement hall.
So once again, everyone all gathered around the Stone Table.
"The time has come where I have to make a difficult decision," Peter announced to everyone. "I know that I've been a terrible leader to all of you and I want to apologize for what happened this past week."
The room suddenly gasped. The younger siblings looked at each other in amazement, everyone else looked bewildered.
"Oh, Peter!" Lucy said and sighed happily.
"I'm proud of you, bro!" Edmund cheered.
"You're back!" Susan cried out joyfully.
Everyone else applauded Peter, but he motioned everyone to stay silent.
"Now, I'm not going to lie because I can see that a lot of things have changed and I'm finally ready to open the fact I can't do this alone," Peter bravely admitted with honesty. "So I'm going to need some help."
Peter looked at Lucy, who appeared to be excited, but Peter doesn't feel like if he is obliged to elaborate her role in this plan.
"Lucy, I'm sorry that I've been wrongful of you and your faith in Narnia." He said apologetically. "So I decided I have set a task for you."
"Yes, Peter?" Lucy asked.
Peter sighed, knowing that if he elaborates her part of the plan, everyone will be alarmed.
"I'm sending you to the woods to find Aslan." Peter said.
The room became deadly silent, as Peter expected to see everyone's shocked faces.
The silence was broken by Trumpkin who looked at Peter angrily.
"Holy fucking shit!" Trumpkin snapped in a terrible voice. "That's your next big plan? Sending a little girl into the darkest part of the forest alone?"
Peter bit his lips as he felt ice in his spine. It seems that he doesn't want Lucy to do it, but things got out of control, so he has to do it for desperate measure.
"It's our only chance." Peter insisted and looked down in deep thought.
Susan stepped in and rested her hand on Lucy's shoulder.
"She won't be alone." Susan decided, "If she's going, then I'm going to."
Trumpkin looked around with utter shock, and then he turned to Lucy.
"Haven't enough of us died already?" he asked quietly.
Suddenly, Trufflehunter walked up to Trumpkin.
"Nikabrik was my friend too, but he lost hope," Trufflehunter said and then smiled. "Queen Lucy hasn't, and neither have I." he added gently.
Reepicheep drew out his blade and held it high. "For Aslan." he said quietly and bowed.
Then, a centaur, next to Trumpkin, nodded in agreement. "For Aslan." he repeated and raised his sword up high.
Trumpkin walked up to Lucy. "Then I'm with you one this one." he declared.
"No," Lucy shook her head. "We need you here." She placed her hand on his shoulder gently.
Peter nodded in agreement. "We have to hold them off until Lucy and Susan get back." he said.
