That night, everyone slept into their tents outside the How.

"See you in the morning, mate." Edmund said to someone and then walked off to his own tent and lie inside and fall into deep sleep.

"Edmund..." said a eerie voice. This is the voice that Edmund heard many times since their return from their past journey in Narnia. It's the White Witch, the worst nightmare to Edmund and his siblings.

"Remember that you almost trade your siblings' lives for sweeties?" the voice sneered again.

"Get out of my head!" Edmund woke up in his tent and panted. It was just another bad dream. He took a deep sigh, and wiped away his tears.

"I'm sorry, you three." Edmund said painfully, and was quite stressed at the thought of hearing the White Witch's voice again.

In his past experience, Edmund mistaken his siblings' love for him for hatred and it prompted him to harm his siblings vengefully, but he almost risked his life after his discovery of the White Witch's ruse.

Edmund put on his tunic shirt and walked out of his tent for a few distance. He headed for the shore of lake and sat down there. He wiped his tears again and then rubbed his nose.

"I wished that it didn't happen..." Edmund said in silence. He closed his eyes and thought sadly of his past actions.

"Hey." said a female voice. Edmund turned around to see that it was Bastila.

"Hi." Edmund said feebly.

"Mind if I sit down with you for a bit?" Bastila asked and Edmund nodded. She sat down next to him. "You're okay?" She asked him.

"Not quite." Edmund said, not knowing that whether he should have said 'Yes' or 'No'.

"Wanna tell me?" Bastila asked.

Edmund took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a short while. He opened his eyes and looked at Bastila.

"You do realize that it's not the first I've been here?" Edmund said.

"I know that it's not your first time." Bastila said.

There was a long silence and Edmund looked at Bastila, who acknowledged the fact that it's not easy to explain of his past.

"A lot of things happened when I came here for the first time, and one of them scarred me for life." Edmund said unhappily.

"Tell me what happened before." Bastila said.

"I used to had a happy childhood back in England before I came here." Edmund said. "And then I was close to my father and then one day, he told me that he was going away for the war."
