Requested by @Revolutionary-Angel, this is a soulmate AU where you can see every color except the color of your soulmate's eyes. Once you meet your soulmate, you can see every color. Enjoy!

You were lugging your last box into your dorm, blowing air upwards to get some hair out of your face. Your arms were straining to hold onto the box, and it took you a moment to figure out where to put it. You finally settled on an empty space on your bed and tossed it down before shaking out your sore muscles.

Your eyes scanned the room carefully, taking note of every little fact about your dorm mate that you could get. They seemed clean, and their stuff was organized. Their bedding was a light gray and their pens and pencils were carefully placed inside their pencil cup. You could see an assortment of expensive markers and papers poking out from behind their desk, along with a light box in the corner. Organized artist. You could deal with an organized artist.

You turned back to your boxes and ripped the first one open, pulling out your items and setting up your half of the room. It didn't take as long as you were expecting, and you were laying on a freshly made bed within the next three hours. You hadn't seen your bunk mate yet, and it was beginning to worry you. You had wanted to meet them before you went to bed, as you felt it would be rude to doze off in their room without introducing yourself.

You sighed and curled up underneath the covers, your new book in one hand and a hot drink in the other. You has your first lecture tomorrow, as you had recently enrolled in medical classes at a very prestigious college, and you were worn out already. This wasn't what you were used to. You much preferred being alone in your room with some Netflix over the bustling crowds and partying students at this college.

Finally, the door opened to reveal a young girl. She was tall with long brown hair and a heavily freckled face. Sleek black glasses sat on the bridge of her nose, in front of her... Gray eyes. You scrunched your nose up at the realization that her eyes must be blue. You wanted to see blue, you were desperate to see blue, but you couldn't. You had never been able to see the color blue, and it was frustrating. You knew it was because your soulmate had blue eyes, but you wished he hadn't possessed eyes that were so many people's favorite color.

You had obviously heard about the color blue. You heard many great things about it. You knew that the sky was blue and the ocean was blue and a lot of denim jeans were blue, but you couldn't see it. You only knew that these various things were blue because you had gathered this information over the years.

"Oh! Hi!" The girl exclaimed cheerily, scurrying into the room and shutting the door, tossing her book on her bed. She made her way over to you and smiled. "I'm Anna Grace, it's nice to meet you!"

You smiled at her cheery disposition and put down your book and drink, standing up and reaching your hand out. "I'm (Y/N), it's nice to meet you too Anna Grace."

She smiled and shook your hand firmly. "I'm so glad I didn't get a weird roommate. I saw some of the choices out there and started to get pretty scared, I'll be honest..." You laughed at this.

"I can imagine. I saw some of them coming in, I wouldn't have wanted to be with them either." You turned your gaze over to the art supplies and nodded your head towards them. "You're an artist?"

Anna Grace smiled proudly and nodded, walking over to a drawer and pulling out a couple of papers. "I am, I'm majoring in drawing, actually. Would you like to see?"

You nodded, walking over to her. "You can actually major in drawing?" You asked, and she laughed.

"You can indeed. That's what I thought at first too, but apparently it's a thing," she explained as she shuffled through some papers. She finally turned the pages to reveal intricate drawings of dragons and princesses and horses and all kinds of miscellaneous things. They were all insanely impressive, and they left you speechless.
