"We should probably head home." Ashton sighs as we all collapse in the car. I groan and flick the back of his head, chuckling slightly.

"Where's the fun in that? We haven't even eaten yet! Just keep driving and see where we end up." I say, just as Mikey's stomach rumbles beside me. "See? Mikey's hungry." I smirk, knowing this will work.

"But it's half ten already."

"So? What are you, 80? Just drive." I ruffle Ashton's curls and sit back down in between Mikey and Calum. Calum giggles, his hand finding mine. I link my fingers with his, giving his large hand a gentle squeeze. A blush creeps up his cheek, and he tries to hide a shy smile.

Giving in, Ashton starts the car and drives forward, Luke turning up the radio.

I lean my head on Calum's shoulder, looking past him and out of the window at the busy city. We're driving pretty fast, and many of the bright lights are turning to blurs.

We speed past plenty of fast food restaurants, but I keep telling Ash to drive further.

Calum presses a kiss to the top of my head and I grin. I like sitting here with him like this, it's so peaceful and I feel so at home.

"What about here?" Ash parks outside a small McDonald's, on a little side street. I nod as Mikey opens the door, him and Luke practically running inside. Calum lets go of my hand a small gasp escapes me at the loss of contact. Shivering slightly, I follow the boys inside.

Calum, Ash and Luke are sitting in a booth, Michael up at the counter ordering for everyone. It's practically empty in here, except for a few small groups of teenage boys, on their way home from a sports match of some kind.

"Dude, I'm pretty sure they're the guys on my sister's walls." One of them says, slightly too loudly, nudging his friend and pointing at us. His friend nods and looks at us closer, before shrugging and returning to his previous conversation.

Michael is quick with our food, collapsing into the seat opposite me and handing out chicken nuggets and burgers. "Here-" he passes me a drink and I thank him, smiling gratefully.

"You know, I was eating healthy before you guys came home." I whine, taking a bite of a chicken nuggets and sitting back.

"You don't need to." Ashton is quick to respond, being the loving older brother he is.

"It's still good to eat healthy." I smirk, and someone throws a fry at me. It hits my forehead and I giggle, taking another bite of my chicken.

"Just keep driving that way, let's go see Sydney Opera House."

We're back in the car, me, Luke and Calum giving directions of where we should go next. Mikey is going along with it, and Ashton is all too confused. "Which way?" He questions, turning to face me.

"Eyes on the road!"

"That way!"

"Watch the old woman!"

"What's an old woman doing wandering around at eleven?!"

It's chaos. We're all just screaming stuff at each other, but nonetheless, it's nice. It's nice chaos. It reminds me of before the boys got famous, when I used to see them at school and when they were just my brothers cute friends. When I only had one other girl competing with me for Calum, not millions.

We pull up beside the Sydney Opera House, and I gasp. It looks stunning. It's lit up with bright lights against the dark ocean and the starry night sky. Ashton switches off the car and jumps out, slipping the keys into his pocket.

Everyone else follows him, Luke throwing his arm around my shoulder.

I watch Calum run off with Mikey, and even though Luke is nice, and someone I feel comfortable around, there's no way to hide how much I wish it was Calum's arm around me, not Luke's. "Zoe, we should talk." Luke sighs, slowing down his steps.

Due to his long legs, I'm still walking at a moderate pace but he's walking extremely slowly. "Yeah?" I brace myself, last time he said this, I ended up making a decision I highly regret.

"Just be careful around your brother, okay?" Luke grins and I feel a weight lifting from my shoulder. "You and Calum are clearly no where near 'done' with your relationship, so at least hide it until things are final?"

And he was right.

This was only the beginning for me and Calum.

Author: this is utter crap I know it's ok. This was just a filler and I promise the next chapter is basically all #zalum and much more interesting.
