*ACE'S POV*

"Here to kill me, Fin?" I asked as I turned to face him.

"Kill would be an understatement, Ace." he said with a grin.

He pointed the scarlet fragment at me and fired, but he missed pretty badly.

I quickly pulled out a dagger that had been an heirloom in my family and charged at him, ducking his other gun shot and cutting him deeply.

"You're weak, Ace. You cant hold out for long." Fin said laughing, but obviously wounded by the blade of the dagger.

"I'll hold out until I can kill you." I sneered, brushing some of my hair out of my face.

One by one the shots were fired and one by one the shots refused to hit me, but all good things must come to an end and I believe that my dodging the shots came to an end all too quickly.

One of the shots nailed me in the shoulder which ultimately shattered it. My own blood was everywhere. As was Fin's, but he could bleed for an eternity for all I care.

He shot me in the leg as well, which would quickly heal if I were to drink human blood, but I refuse.

"Time to finish you off then isn't it?" Fin said pointing the gun to my head.

"Go ahead. If you didn't obliterate me into pieces, I would've done it to myself."

He looked at me rather in shock, but then put his gun away.

"I will not kill you if it is to please you, so maybe I'll just leave you here to rot." he muttered.

"The association won't be happy with your not killing me." I said trying to sit up and fight through the pain.

"The association doesn't have to know that you are still alive. You are basically a human with fangs until you actually drink a human's blood so if I leave you here, you will eventually lose all of your blood and die. The association is the last thing that I need to worry about." he said with a laugh.

"And if I live?"

"You said it yourself. You'll end up not being able to live with yourself and ending it all. Although, you are a bit of a coward so I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't have the guts to pull the trigger." he sneered.

"And if I decide not to, will you end up coming after me? You assume myself to be a coward who won't pull the trigger and if I don't and decide to drink human blood, will you still have no desire to hunt me down yourself? Will you still have no desire to stop being a dog to the association and hunt me down anyway? You seem to be in quite a rough spot with decisions to make swirling all around you. I truly don't know why you are filled with hatred for me to the point that you won't just end my life now."

"I told you, vampire. You'll end it all on your own. Even though you are a coward, there isn't a bone in my body that thinks you won't do it, but if you don't I won't be shocked. If you don't, then yes, I will come after you. I will end the life of another one of you monsters." he barked.

"You seem to be forgetting something, Fin."

"What is that, vampire?"

"Your leader, the associations president and the person who calls all the shots. Don't be too quick to forget that he is a pure blood vampire. You are a dog to a person who is the very being that you despise. Tell me, how do you go on every day of your pathetic, fleeting life without the agony of not being able to point a gun at him. Is it perhaps that you value your life, or is he the blood-thirsty beast that you've chosen to make an exception for, hunter?" I asked purely out of curiosity.
