*KARA'S POV*

My eyes struggled to peel open as sunlight poured into my room. My head felt cloudy and I had a stomach splitting ache in my chest and head. I pulled my comforter over my face again in hopes of drifting back to sleep into a painless haze but the more I tried, the more unlikely such a luxury seemed.

I couldn't seem to recall anything from yesterday. I couldn't even recall any of my dreams...not that that was a bad thing...it was simply an oddity. I remembered that I was planning on going to bed and I cracked the window to let in some fresh air. I think I sat by the window for a while thinking about Amity and where she stands. Its a rather sensitive subject to me now. I just hope she makes the right decision, but even so I couldn't recall anything after that.

The more that I attempted at remembering the previous night, the more unbearable the pain in my chest and head grew so I eventually stopped trying. I stood up and noticed that I was still in my clothes that I'd worn yesterday so I reluctantly stripped them off and went into the bathroom, locking the door.

Standing under the shower head with nothing to do caused my thoughts to shift back and forth again.

What happened?

Me forgetting a day nearly in its entirety was an abnormality. I nearly never forgot anything, especially in regards to my nightmares, but I couldn't help but feel really odd about all of this.

I quickly washed my hair and body before reluctantly jumping out and wrapping a towel around myself, stopping in front of the mirror to brush my teeth. My eyes widened when I focused in on a bruise on the left side of my head. I winced simply because I looked at it. The black, blue and yellow mark extended from my right temple all the way down to my cheekbone.

Someone put me in that bed, so someone knows what happened and I know exactly who it'll be the easiest to get out of.

**********

"You know something!" I yelled pointing my finger accusingly at Seven who had just woken up and was standing right inside his doorway looking rough to say the least.

"I don't know anything, woman! Pointing is rude!" He exclaimed pointing right back at me.

I mentally face-palmed myself and stepped into his room.

"Seven Abernathy, you better tell me or-"

"Or what, sis? You're like four feet tall. What harm could you possible do?"

I glared at him and was about to open my mouth to say something when Orion walked in.

"Please tell me that you know!" I cried before turning around to see a very startled Orion.

"Listen, girly. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." He deadpanned looking tired so I decided I'd leave him alone. "Do you need me for something?"

"I don't suppose," I sighed before whipping back around to Seven and moving my hair out of the way, pointing at the now revealed bruise that ran half of the way down my face.

"I never noticed that," he growled under his breath. He looked ticked as he slowly lifted his hand to tilt my chin so that he could see the bruise.

"I knew you knew something," I muttered, "why can't you just tell me?"

"Ace wants to keep you safe. He thinks that if you don't know anything that you're better off and you won't...wonder so much like you always do," he said running his thumb over the bruise, "you need to take care of that," he sighed, releasing my chin and taking a step backward.
