*KARA'S POV*

"Kara, you didn't catch it...again," Orion mumbled twirling the green tips of his bangs around his fingers.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention," I stated, staring off into the woods. The field was officially the new training location. We had privacy here and nothing was capable of getting destroyed excluding Cora's truck where she kept most of her computer set up and the Genesis files.

"Something bugging you?" Orion asked as his normally green eyes began glowing a bright yellow.

"I'm fine; More than fine, actually. Are you? Your eyes are yellow," I said, far less worried then I was curious.

"I thought I sensed some trouble. Maybe I was wrong. Not Cloud and his minions sort of trouble, but something different. Maybe just something within the group, but like I said I could be wr-"

Orion was instantly cut off by Cora jumping out of the truck and running over to me, not caring which pairs of fighters she pushed out of the way. Everyone had been fighting for an hour or so to make up for the loss of training that resulted from the collapse of the parking garage. Ace was paired up with Owen, Seven was paired up with Amity, and the rest of the gang were training the recruits that had disbanded after the collapse.

"Kara, come with me," she said, grabbing my arm and pulling me with her to the truck. I was never going to get use to being drug around by a bunch of vampires who just assumed I was as fast as them. At least Cora wasn't the fastest of the bunch; getting slung around by someone as fast as Seven gave me a migraine.

Cora pulled me into the truck where a plethora of papers were sprawled out over everything.

"What's all this?" I asked as Cora began rapidly searching things on her computer.

"I decoded it," she mumbled.

"You what?"

"I said I decoded it!" She yelled, looking rather panicked.

"Well, that's great isn't it? I mean, I think that with everything going on we needed a win, right?" I asked, but Cora shook her head.

"Cora, you're scaring me," I said as she lifted a paper to me, but the writing was so frantic and illegible that I couldn't figure out what it said.

"Genesis isn't just a file that contains battle plans. Genesis also has an entire recorded history of the vampires killed by the hunter association," she said, her breathing becoming more shallow.

"Why would we need to know that?" I asked, considering putting a hand on her shoulder, but quickly deciding that it was a bad idea.

"Well, apparently the record doesn't just record the death of every vampire that has been hunted down by the association, but every human that Cloud felt needed executing too."

"Which means-" I started before Cora interrupted.

"Which mean, this file records the night that the Sullivan family was butchered," Cora stayed, but I couldn't tell what emotion she was feeling yet.

"It records the night that he turned Ace?" I asked as I looked at the papers.

"Kara, have you ever wondered why, in fact, Cloud went after the Sullivans? Have you ever wondered why Ace can speak so many languages that he's never even learned in his life?" She asked.

I hadn't wondered for a while, but I certainly did when the topic was brought up. A lot of things about Ace's past don't add up sometimes.

"I found out some stuff, Kara. I know you care for him which is why I'm telling you. I just don't know if we should tell him. I'm not sure how he'd react."
