~There is a brief POV switch in this chapter, but it's vital to the plot so bear with me. Much love babes, Ireland G~
*ACE'S POV*
"Seven!" I yelled as I ran through the parking garage.
This is the tenth place that I've checked.
I'm starting to think that this is hopeless.
"He's not here," Danalrie yelled coming down the steps.
"Not here either," Cora and Cam yelled in unison from one of the back rooms.
I collapsed on the wall by the office.
This was my fault.
A series of scenarios ran through my head regarding the situation at hand. If I had handled it differently then maybe the agreement could have been made and Seven would still stay, or at least that was what rationality was wanting me to think. I knew in my head and my heart that I did what I had to do and Seven selfishly had a problem with it, but that didn't stop me from blaming myself.
"We have to find him, but we will need more help," I said before going to the office and picking up the phone calling a few more people because I didn't want a pack of people running around town.
A knock on the door sounded not long after and I opened the door to see Amity, Kara and Owen.
"You're a mess," Amity stated as her eyes widened.
"Seven's missing. He and I got into a disagreement and he ran off and I don't know where he's at. He's one of my closest friends and I know what I did was right, but he's really had some hard times in his life and I ticked him off, but I didn't know. Now he's gone and-"
"Ace, don't you dare say what I know you're trying to tell yourself," Kara said from the doorway.
"I'm sorry about this, sir. I'll do whatever you need me to do," Owen stated.
"Call me Ace, please. I want you to become one of my leading people, Owen."
"Are you sure, si-Ace. You don't seem to be in a good state to be making decisions like that."
"I'm sure. Trust me. You guys can come in," I said as I moved out of the way and the three of them went to sit on different chairs and couches. Cora, Cam, and Danalrie made their way over as well.
"Does anyone have any idea where Seven could be?" Cora asked.
"What if he just went out into the woods and he wants to be left alone? That's what Kara does," Amity stated.
"I do it to think, not because I want to be left alone," she stated looking at Amity with an annoyed face.
She looked to me with a sincere glance before saying, "Seven seems like the type of person who loves being around people, specifically his friends or the people who care about him most. Maybe it's just me, but he would probably go somewhere obvious so he could be found. If he's mad at you, Ace, and he ran off then maybe he just wanted some time to process everything and hope that someone would show up and save him from his anger."
"She's right," Cam said from beside me.
I looked at Kara with a knowing smile before whispering, "I know."
