*KARA'S POV*
"Ace, where are we going?" I asked as he sped us down an unfamiliar road.
Vampires are real and all this time I didn't know.
This is what he was hiding from me.
What if the vampires that attacked Ace and me are attacking other students.
Amity...
"Ace."
"Yes?"
"Will the vampires kill anybody else?" I asked in pure worry of my friend.
"Only those who get in their way or try to protect who they are hunting."
"What about Amity? Should I call her?" I asked.
I instantly saw him grow cold in the mirror.
I could feel his suddenly distant aura floating throughout the car.
"Amity will be fine. Don't call because if the wrong person is in the right place at the right time and you make that call then they can track your location." he said clenching the steering wheel and pressing on the gas.
"Why are you like this all of the sudden?" I asked turning toward him.
"Do you want something to eat?" he asked avoiding the question.
"I don't understand. One second you actually act like you care about what happens to me and the next you won't even look at me. What is your deal?" I asked as he pulled into a rest area.
"I just want to know if you want something to eat okay!?" he said jerking on the brakes causing me to jerk towards the dashboard.
Something is really eating at him.
Maybe it's just the fact that he feels I can't be safe anymore.
"I guess just let me out of the car for some air okay? And stop yelling. It makes me uneasy." I said trying to be calm. If I yelled back it would bug him even more and so I tried to be nice which I guess shocked him because all he did was stare at me as I walked inside.
I pulled my wallet out of my back pocket and bought a coffee and a burger with fries. I bought a cup of superman ice cream as well because it was always his favorite when we were kids, so I thought it may ease some of the tension.
I went back to the car and got in as Ace started the car and pulled back onto the road.
"Here." I said pointing the cup of ice cream in his direction.
He glanced over and saw what it was before turning his head away to keep from smiling.
"You know you want to eat it." I said taking a spoonful and sticking toward his face.
He turned towards me before putting the spoon in his mouth and putting it back in the cup.
"Are you going to make me feed it to you?" I asked trying to get him to talk.
"That's the only way I'll eat it," he said with a grin.
He grinned.
That was all that I wanted.
"So any particular reason that you are acting kind of cold?" I asked hoping he would answer me this time.
"I'm sorry, Kara. I just don't know what to do or where to go. I knew about vampires since the moment I-"
He froze.
"Since the moment you what?"
"Since the moment I lost my parents."

Vampire"Stop!" Kara cried straddling over me and pinning my hands above my head where the gun was out of my reach. I quickly retaliated throwing her under me and cowering over her hearing her melodic pulse in harmony with mine, but I ignored it. "I want to...
