*KARA'S POV*
It's been a few days since the destruction of the parking garage and all the team has done for the past few days is search for somewhere else. It's been quite a tedious few days.
I've spent them cooped up in my room with no one but Amity to keep me company. After the destruction, Fin disappeared, Seven and Ace are wound up with battle strategies alongside Weston and Cora, Cam and Danalrie have been warehouse hunting basically.
Today, however, was different.
I woke up at five o clock in the morning fully expecting to go to class for the first time in forever when I received a knock on my door. I was hesitant to open it until a voice sounded through the corridor just as I was brushing my teeth.
"Open your door, Harrison."
I recognized the voice instantly as belonging to Danalrie and considering the fact that the girl basically hated me for reasons unknown, I was hesitant to open the door.
"Are you planning on murdering me?" I asked.
"No, as much as I hate to admit it, you're not totally useless and you've started to grow on me. Like a cancer of sorts."
"Nice to know," I muttered as I leaned my ear against the door.
"Guess I'll do this my way," she stated as a thick red substance oozed under the door and I shot three feet up in the air, careful not to step on it.
"That's disgusting! That's your ability?"
I watched as the puddle in the floor slowly formed into Danalrie's figure and she solidified again.
"Please don't do that again," I begged, still shuddering from her grotesque performance.
"Don't make things difficult, Harrison and I might take note of that."
She started to sift through my things until she came upon the pictures of Ace and me that I salvaged from the garage building. I swiftly made my way over and took the pictures out of her hand.
"Don't touch my stuff," I muttered before sticking the pictures back in my jewelry box.
"Who's this?" Danalrie asked as she held up a picture of Seven, well, technically he was Andy at the time. I had honestly forgotten that I'd taken that from his house.
"Uh, that's Andy," I mumbled before taking it and sticking it in the box also, "now please stay out of my things."
"Who's Andy?" She asked.
"I never knew him."
"If you've got a picture of him, he must've meant something to you."
"Yeah, he means something to me alright," I stated as I thought about Seven for a few minutes.
"I'm worried about you."
He seemed to care far too much for a mere mortal like myself, but I suppose that by those standards he was a mortal too.
"Then what's he to you?" She asked and I boldly stood up to face her.
"He's probably the bravest guy I've ever been fortunate enough to know existed," I stated before walking out of the door.
She looked at me for a second, probably because I'd never actually stood up to her. I shocked myself if I was being honest, but I wanted her to shut up. It's not like what I told her wasn't true....actually, it was the farthest thing from a lie out there. Seven had been through a lot, but he still faced his problems head on and fearlessly, and he could be reckless, but he was brave beyond the shadow of a doubt.
