*KARA'S POV*
"Ow!" I yelled as the cold alcohol pad ran over the spot on the back of my head.
"I'm sorry that I did this to you," Cora said as she thoroughly cleaned the wound and I tried my hardest not to yelp in pain when she resealed the gauze around my forehead.
"It's okay," I whispered as the door to the infirmary busted open.
"Cam!" Cora yelled as Danalrie followed short behind with Owen beside her.
"You got him?" I asked, pushing Cora's hand away and standing up to face the three of them.
"The mission would have been a failure had we not. While Ace and Cloud were dueling, we took him with us. Nobody seemed to notice because everyone was watching the fight. They really are unobservant for 'immensely powerful beings'," Danalrie huffed sarcastically.
Cora chuckled behind me before standing up and walking over to the three of them.
"We've all had kind of a rough day. I suggest that we leave Kara alone so she can rest."
They all nodded and left the room. Owen waved in my direction, but still didn't speak as he exited.
I waved back and then sat back down on the bed, moving the first aid kit into the floor and tucking my socked feet beneath the covers wanting nothing more than a shower.
I lay my head down on the pillow and stared up at the ceiling trying to process every event of today.
I found myself desperately trying to piece together my reality from fantasy on a daily basis anymore and I've come to the conclusion that they are one in the same.
I didn't feel like sleeping because I hadn't learned to control my powers yet. If I fell asleep, I had a good chance of waking up in a world I didn't want to be in.
And so I just closed my eyes.
Not to think.
Not to dream.
Simply to close my eyes.
I lay in silence for a few seconds before a knock on the door made way to my ears.
"Come in," I mumbled, opening my eyes.
Seven came in and shut the door behind him, taking a seat on the chair next to the bed.
"You okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine. You're the one I'm worried about," I stated, thinking back to how pale he looked when we came across the werewolf attack.
"What for?"
"The werewolf attack....you looked kind of-"
"Scared? Yeah, I know. I was."
"Why?" I asked, trying not to be nosey. Seven was my friend and he wasn't one to become scared easily, so it had to have been something relatively serious.
"I'd rather not talk about it."
"Seven, containing your emotions isn't good for you. I won't say anything to anyone if you don't want me to. Does anyone else know?"

Vampire"Stop!" Kara cried straddling over me and pinning my hands above my head where the gun was out of my reach. I quickly retaliated throwing her under me and cowering over her hearing her melodic pulse in harmony with mine, but I ignored it. "I want to...
