This was a request in my JLH book. The one with the part entitled "Random Oneshots ^_^" 😂
One more note: If you guys don't know who Guy is, search "The Croods". He's the younger male there. Thank you ●v●
~
Back before Guy met the Croods, a group of cavemen and cavewomen who were lost and confused while wandering the early years of the Earth, he had a family.
That family was a happy family, and was contented to what they have. Unlike the other families of cavemen, they're more intelligent, probably because they build things that are unfamiliar to others, but is utterly convenient.
It was then also that they found out that the world was slowly cracking, being destroyed, and it's close to almost the end of it. So they traveled great distances, hoping to find ways to survive with their convenient inventions.
Everything was alright.
He was just a sweet, innocent little caveman back then. And he didn't expect that everything he cared about would be taken away from him.
It was just a normal day, his family decided to pause venturing and eat on the grassbeds, which they prefer to call 'picnic'. Then, all of a sudden, his little sister got a little naughty that she fell in a place with black goop, much known as a tar pit. Turns out they were having their picnic near that place.
Guy didn't realize what was happening at first, but when his parents told him to stay where he was and wait for them to return but didn't return unfortunately, he got worried that something went wrong.
His little 8 year old feet dragged him near the edge of the drop, careful not to fall himself. He saw the rope made of vines tore from the ground where he was, and it was only a matter of time until he saw that his parents were also there in the tar goop.
And that tar was sucking them slowly.
"Mama! Papa!" Guy's voice echoed down below, making the two adults look at him with sad expressions. His sister, who was in their mother's arms, gave the same look as well. She may be young, but she's not really stupid to know what was happening.
"Darling, listen to me." His mother spoke weakly, the black tar slowly reaching to her stomach. Guy obeyed and just listened to her speak, since he couldn't do anything at all to save them.
"Don't hide, live." His mother told him. His father then nodded, adding, "Follow the sun. You'll make it to Tomorrow."
Tomorrow was a place they always talked about. That was where they would be safe while the world's crust slowly cracks as the time goes by.
Guy's brown eyes slowly started to form tears. He nodded, understanding. "I will, for the three of you."
He left them there after he yelled out his words, afraid to turn back. It was hard to see your family get sucked in the sticky tar, falling ever so slowly at their deaths.
He promised he will make it to Tomorrow. He's sure that he will. For his family.
.
.
.As Guy traveled farther, years started to pass by. And he slowly grew to become a young man from the little boy who lost his family. He kept making convenience tools in order to help him make it to Tomorrow and travel beyond the mountains and rivers.
He learned about the creatures that lurk on the face of the Earth, either at day or at night. He even made a monster suit in order to protect him from the dangers that haunt when the sun sets, and he used a useful tool his parents taught him to make.
