It took a few minutes before Draco's audience finally reacted- Ron laughed like a lunatic, Ginny screamed in delight, while Harry and Hermione both stared open-mouthed at the blonde.

"What's so funny, Weasel?" Draco asked, fuming.

"Hermione won't marry a ferret like you, especially a Death Eater ferret," Ron replied bitterly.

"If you haven't noticed yet, she's already my girlfriend," he snarled back.

"Yeah, yeah. But you have just been together for a few weeks, and now you're telling us she'll instantly agree to marry you? She's Hermione Granger, the brightest witch ever, so she won't be settling down any time soon, especially after realizing you are not worth anything and is still the same ferret that you are," Ron explained heatedly, shaking his head.

Draco was about to retort when the adults came back from the kitchen.

"What's the shouting all about?" Molly asked the teens, concern in her voice.

Arthur just kept quiet, surveying the situation. He noticed the tension between Ron and Draco who were stood facing each other, hands balled into fists.

"Nothing, mum. Is dinner ready?" Ginny instantly replied, relieved that the two bickering boys have shut their mouths, and resorted to staring daggers at each other instead.

"Yes, dear. Come now, boys and girls," Molly invited calmly, although noticing her son and Draco's clenched fists and hard eyes. As long as there's no wand pointing, everything's fine, she thought.

The teens followed Molly and Arthur to the kitchen quietly, with Harry and Ginny pulling Ron along beside them, and with Hermione taking Draco's hand at the rear of the group.

Dinner was unusually quiet at the Burrow that evening. Only the cutlery were heard as Ron and Draco continued their staring match from across each other's seats.

Molly and Arthur just let them be, they are both of age after all and need not be treated as young children. They just hope that they would be able to resolve their problems on their own.

A pop was heard outside the kitchens, then a knock on the Burrow's back door.

"That must be your family, Draco," Molly said, standing up to get the door leading to the backyard were the knock came from.

Upon opening the door, Molly smiled at the new arrivals. There stood Andromeda Tonks and her sister Narcissa Malfoy, who was carrying a sleeping baby Teddy. "Good evening, ladies, come inside," she invited, stepping aside to let them enter.

"Good evening, Molly," Andromeda greeted back, giving her a side hug.

"Good evening, Molly," Narcissa replied, nodding her head to the slightly older woman. "Thanks for picking up my son this afternoon and letting him stay for dinner too," she said.

"No problem, dear. Have you had dinner?" Molly answered.

"Yes we have, thanks," Narcissa replied.

The women neared the dining table and quickly noticed the tension between Ron and Draco.

Arthur kept himself busy eating, then greeted the ladies when they neared them. "Good evening, ladies. Care for some dessert?" He asked as he scooped some ice cream for himself.

"No, thanks, Arthur. We have just eaten," Andromeda answered him, smiling.

"Thanks for the offer, Arthur," Narcissa replied to him too. "Are you finished yet, Hermione and Draco?" She asked, looking at her son and at Hermione.

"Yes, mother," Draco replied. "Thanks for the wonderful dinner, Mister and Missis Weasley," he said, turning to their hosts.

"You are welcome, dear," Molly replied, smiling at the young man. She could definitely see now why Hermione fell in love with the young Malfoy, noticing how his demeanor has changed for the better, and he looks easy on the eyes too.
