When Hermione finished dressing up for breakfast, a simple green short sleeved shirt and black pants she found inside the room's wardrobe, she heard another knock at her door. It was Draco again, as she opened it, wearing his usual smirk.
"Breakfast is ready at the garden patio," he informed her, offering his hand. "I will escort you there so you won't get lost," he added, seeing her confused look at his outstretched hand.
"Thanks, Draco," she replied, smiling uncertainly at him. She felt the electricity again when she touched her bare hand on his.
Draco held her hand gently on his, feeling alive yet again with her touch. I could get use to this, he thought.
They went down the grand staircase and walked through different hallways until they reached the gardens. Draco quickly let go of her hand once they were outside.
"Follow me," he told her, walking ahead of her, his long legs taking him farther away from her.
She followed silently and hurried to catch up with him. She noticed that he had showered too and is wearing a tight black shirt underneath his grey blazers and a grey pants to match. He is too formal, she thought, it's just breakfast.
When they reached the patio, Narcissa greeted them happily. "Good morning, Hermione and Draco," she said, motioning them to take the seats beside her.
Hermione saw that Narcissa was also well-dressed for breakfast, wearing a dark green dress and a white blazer, sipping her tea while reading her newspaper.
"Good morning too, Narcissa," Hermione greeted back, taking the seat Draco was offering her at Narcissa's left side. "Thank you, Draco," she told him, smiling at him.
"Good morning, mother," Draco greeted, giving his mother a peck on the cheek, then sitting down too beside Narcissa.
They started eating their breakfast, Narcissa noticed Draco stealing glances at Hermione while they eat. Hermione is a fine girl and will be good for Draco, she thought.
"Have you answered Harry's patronus?" Narcissa asked Hermione curiously.
"Oh! Not yet, Narcissa. I completely forgot about replying to him," Hermione replied, scolding herself mentally for forgetting. "I'll reply after breakfast," she added.
Draco just smirked at her, maybe he had really an effect on her, he thought, making her forget about her friends.
Just then, a little barn owl landed on Hermione's shoulder. She recognized it as Ron's Pigwidgeon. She took the letter while Pig nipped the toast on her plate. She opened it and read:
Dear Hermione,
Where are you?! We went to Diagon Alley this morning and checked if you stayed at the Leaky Cauldron, but Tom the innkeeper said you hadn't.
We also checked Grimmauld Place next but Kreacher has not seen you in the house.
We are already back at the Burrow, so kindly reply back asap so we'll know your ok.
Molly is worried so much, she is still furious with Ron. Ginny is too. They both ignore Ron.
But Ron told me he's very sorry and wants you back at the Burrow.
Please be alright. If you don't want to go back to the Burrow, we both can stay at Grimmauld. I'll ask Molly to let Ginny come with us.
Love,
Harry
After finishing reading the letter, she scrawled a reply using the back of the letter and Narcissa's quill.
