Chapter 53- Birthday Preparations

Draco Malfoy agreed to keep his relationship with Hermione Granger a secret until she has told it personally to her best friends, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. However, Hermione's close friends who were at Hogwarts too, already knew that they are dating.

Hermione's nineteenth birthday was coming in a few days, and Draco wanted to surprise her. Since her birthday falls on a Saturday, that means they could celebrate the whole day. He wanted to date her and throw a party for her too.

Draco sought the help of Luna, Ginny, and even Neville for the party. They communicated secretly so that Hermione would be surprised during her birthday.

Draco was currently in his room, writing his plans for the surprise party, when he heard Hermione knock on his door. "Wait," he told her, placing the parchment quickly inside his desk drawer.

Hermione waited outside Draco's door, it has been a few days since they have agreed not to break up, but it seems their relationship was not as how she expected it to be. Draco has been quite busy these past few days, and really hasn't time for her. She's been busy studying too, but it was quite unusual for her boyfriend to be locked in his room studying.

Draco opened the door, revealing his girlfriend. "Hi, beautiful," he greeted her, smiling his beautiful and sincere smile.

"Hello, are you busy?" She asked him, they had just finished their classes a while ago, so they still have time before dinner at six.

"No, not really," Draco replied, pulling her gently inside his room.

Hermione took a deep breath, then said, "I really miss you, Draco." It has a been a few days since they really kissed and cuddled, and she missed that. She was never clingy, but it was different with Draco.

Draco smirked when he heard that the Gryffindor Princess missed him. He pulled her into a hug, and kissed her hair. "I'm sorry for not giving you enough time, I really need to study harder these past few days," he told her. Aside from planning his girlfriend's party, he was really studying too- he needs to prove himself to everyone.

"I understand, it's our last year and we need to do really well in our NEWTs," she told him, still hugging him, enjoying his arms around her.

"I love you," Draco told her sincerely, kissing her forehead.

Hermione smiled warmly at him, then peck him on the lips. Draco closed the gap again and kissed her, softly at her first, then more passionately after a few minutes.

Hermione tangled her fingers on his hair, while the other clutched his shirt. She felt his hands roaming her back, and she moaned as Draco squeezed her butt.

They were still kissing when an owl tapped on Draco's window. Draco gently let her go to get the letter from the school owl. Not wanting Hermione to see the letter upon seeing the sender, he put it on his pocket.

"Who's it from?" She asked curiously, seeing Draco's quick movements.

"Just from Blaise," he replied, but it really was from Ginny Weasley. "Come on, let's go down to dinner now," he invited, seeing that it was almost six in the evening.

"Alright," she replied, taking his hand.

After dinner, Hermione went immediately to the Head's Common Room to wait for Draco. She decided to do her homework while waiting, she was almost done with her essay but he still had not arrived. So she just continued doing her homework, not wanting to waste time.
