Chapter 4- Draco's Trial (Part 4)

"Thank you, Ms. Granger. Now, may I ask the witnesses, and our audience to please exit the chambers for a recess of this trial. The Wizengamot will hold a private meeting for an hour. Aurors, kindly escort our defendant to his detention cell while we are in session. The court will adjourn in two hours. Thank you." the Minister announced.

Draco was escorted immediately to his cell. The press tried getting comments from the members of the Wizengamot, Ministry members of the Law Enforcement Division tried to get the audience quietly out of chambers.

Mrs. Narcissa Malfoy, (who was quiet all throughout the proceedings), Harry, and Hermione were also escorted by Aurors for their safety to a separate room outside the dungeons.

"After hearing from our two witnesses, and considering Mr. Draco Malfoy was underage when he had received his Death Eater Mark, this court now recommends the following sanctions: 1) He should go back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this coming September to finish his studies; 2) He would be closely monitored while at school, any rule breaking will be reported to the Department of Law Enforcement by Hogwarts' Headmistress, and he will not be allowed to go out of the school's premises until he graduated from Hogwarts; 3) He would not be allowed to go out of the Ministry's jurisdiction for three years starting right after this trial; 4) If he is seen and proven to be allying again with other Death Eaters, he will be tried again by this court as a legal adult; and 5) It is strongly advised that he should still be under his mother's custody until he reaches twenty-one years of age." the Minister declared.

Draco and his mother were listening intently to the Minister. They were both relieved that Draco was not sentenced to Azkaban, and was allowed to go back to finish his studies at Hogwarts after all that he has done at school.

"Mr. Draco Malfoy, you are dismissed by this court. This trial is concluded. Thank you." the Minister ended.

The press instantly stood up to try to interview the Malfoys, but personnel from the Department of Law Enforcement were quick to act and immediately secured the Malfoys to a side room of the chamber.

The press also tried interviewing Harry and Hermione but they were also escorted to the side room with the Malfoys.

Only some of the witches and wizards of the Wizengamot graced interviews for the press. The Minister quickly exited to his office with some of the Aurors.
