Draco Malfoy led Daphne Greengrass to the Head's Dormitory. His arms were still on her waist when they entered the Common Room.

Daphne immediately kissed Draco again once the portrait door closed, not wanting to ruin their momentum.

Draco kissed her back, his hands roaming around her body.

The couple did not notice Hermione Granger sitting on one of the armchairs. Hermione was shocked on what she was witnessing. She tried suppressing the tears that were about to fall, seeing Draco kissing another girl stabbed her heart. She took a deep breath to calm herself, willing her Gryffindor bravery to surface. She needs to accomplish her Head Girl duties first above all else, so she needs to talk to Draco about tomorrow's meeting.

Draco and Daphne were now sliding down on one of the couches, still kissing passionately. Draco saw Hermione sitting on one of the farthest armchairs looking at them, so he just closed his eyes again to be able to concentrate satisfying himself with Daphne.

Hermione cleared her throat when she saw that Draco has seen her. She stood up to get their attention, to no avail. It took all her courage to start speaking calmly to them. "Excuse me, but I need to talk first with Draco," she said loud and clear.

They both heard her, but Daphne didn't want to stop yet. Draco also pretended not to hear Hermione, and just continued his lip-locked battle with Daphne.

Hermione was now feeling irritated, knowing that they both heard her. She took her wand from inside her pocket then pointed it at the two, sending them to the opposite sides of the couch they were leaning on.

The couple was shocked when they found themselves glued on the couch instead of on each other. Daphne was angry that they were interrupted by the Gryffindor, she had always not minded Granger and her friends, but she was irritated that she has to stop her from kissing Draco. On the other hand, Draco was quite amused by Hermione's action, he assumed that she was just jealous.

"What's your problem, Granger?" Daphne asked shrilly.

"I told you, I need to talk to Draco. It's about Head duties, so it's important," Hermione told her calmly.

"Couldn't you wait? We're not yet finished here," Daphne replied, staring daggers at her.

"I would have if I could," Hermione replied irritably. "But I need to talk to him now about our meeting tomorrow after breakfast, just give me a few minutes. I need to patrol later anyway," she added in a calmer tone.

"Daphne, just go," Draco instructed bossily.

"Can't I just wait till you're finished? I could just lay down on your bed and wait," Daphne pleaded to him, caressing his chest.

Hermione just watched the two, waiting until Draco's ready to talk to her.

"I'm not in the mood anymore, okay? Just go," Draco told her, impatiently.

"But-," Daphne started protesting.

"Come on, get out now," Draco told her, pulling her towards the door. "Bye, see you tomorrow," Draco added, winking at her to somewhat calm the furious girl.

"Fine," Daphne said, looking daggers at the silent Hermione.

"You should have just let her wait for you, she seems angry at me now," Hermione told Draco once the door was closed again.

"She'll get over it, don't worry about her, she's a sweet girl," Draco told Hermione, sitting on the couch.

Hermione just rolled her eyes. Of course she's sweet, you couldn't take your mouth off hers, she thought grimly. "I have already made our patrol schedule, here," she told him, giving him the parchment she wrote it in. "If you don't like it, then you may revise it," she added.

Draco took the parchment, read it, then said, "It's fine, Granger."

"Alright, that's all. We'll just discuss it tomorrow with the Prefects. I'm going to patrol now," she told him.

"Let's go then," Draco said, standing up.

"You don't have to go since you patrolled alone last night," Hermione told him firmly.

"We should go together, you know. I really don't mind, Granger," he told her. He doesn't want her patrolling on her own, especially going near the dungeons at night. He still doesn't know what the Slytherin's were thinking, if they have changed like he has, or they have a grudge on the winning side.

"Alright, if you want to," she replied, resigned. She started going to the common room door, but Draco grabbed her wrist.

"Aren't you jealous, Granger?" Draco whispered seductively.

"Why will I be?" She replied uncomfortably. She looked down on the floor, not wanting to gaze in his eyes.

"Beats me," Draco replied cheekily. "You know what, kissing Daphne was alright. She was willing to go all the way if you hadn't interrupted us," he told her seriously.

"Then why didn't you just let her wait for you? I told you that it won't take long," she defended herself. She was annoyed that he will even tell her what they will be doing after their intense kissing in the common room.

"I would have been really mad if anyone else have interrupted us. But because it was you, I feel flattered since I know you're just jealous," he told her matter-of-factly, closing in on her. He was now holding both her wrists firmly.

"I am not jealous, Malfoy," she told him through gritted teeth, still not looking up at him. She could almost hear his beating heart due to their closeness.

"Then why can't you look at me? You're eyes must be hiding the truth, Granger," he mocked, putting his hand on her chin to lift it.

Hermione closed her eyes when Draco lifted her face. She could feel his other hand on her hips now. "I need to patrol now," she told him, trying to hide the nervousness in her voice. She feels so weak with his touch, she misses him so much.

"Open your eyes, and look at me," he told her seductively.

"Stop it, Malfoy! Stop your stupid flirting!" She yelled angrily. "I'll just patrol alone, or we could just divide patrolling the corridors if you really want to patrol," she suggested, now looking at him straight in the eyes. It took all her courage to not melt in his arms.

"Fine, I'll patrol the dungeons and the Hufflepuffs' floor," he replied in a cold voice, hurt again that she rejected him.

They went to their separate areas once they left their common room. Hermione going up to the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw towers, while Draco went down. They were both angry at each other, and their friendship hangs on a thin thread.
