Draco and Hermione were both woken up by the intense tapping of a little brown owl at the closed bedroom window. It was already pass five o'clock in the afternoon as they were both awakened by Pigwidgeon.

"That blasted owl again!" Draco huffed, annoyed at the little owl as Hermione stood up to open the window.

"Hey, Pig," Hermione greeted the tiny owl, noticing a thicker set of letters on its beak. After removing the letter (or rather letters), Pig nipped her fingers affectionately before flying off again.

"Who's that from?" Draco asked her curiously. He already sat up from the bed, knowing that they both needed to eat.

Hermione scanned the letters, seeing her friends' familiar handwritings. "They're from Harry, Ginny, and George," the witch replied, pocketing the letters.

"So that means the one that arrived at breakfast was Weasel's," Draco said, more annoyed now.

"Why don't we just go down and eat now? You must be hungry since you are so irritable," she told him offhandedly.

"Fine," he replied haughtily. "Why don't we just go out and eat somewhere? It's almost dinner time, we can go somewhere fancy," he suggested. Maybe he could pop the big question again during their romantic dinner, he thought.

"Alright, I'll shower first. Give me at least thirty minutes to get ready," Hermione agreed.

"Fine with me. I'll shower downstairs so we save time," he replied. His brain in overdrive on how he could pop the big question later.

Draco apparated with Hermione on a side alley in muggle London, a little after six that evening.

Draco led her to an Italian restaurant near the alley they apparated from. Hermione was wearing a trench coat and scarf on top of her long sleeved navy blue dress, with winter boots since it was snowing hard that night.

They removed their coats once inside the warmth of the restaurant, handing them to an assistant.

Draco conversed with the muggle receptionist quite politely, asking for tables for them. His attire was his usual black- black coat, black suit, and black woolen jumper underneath, which makes him quite intimidating with his aristocratic features.

They were ushered to a less occupied room dedicated to couples. There were only a few guests when they went inside the stylish room. Draco chose the table for two in the middle of the room.

"This is a charming place," Hermione observed. "Have you been here before?" She asked him as they waited for their assigned server.

"A couple of times," he admitted. "With mum," he added, seeing that the place was made for romantic dinners between couples.

"Not on a date then?" She inquired, scanning the menu.

"Of course not, Pansy will freak if I take her to anywhere muggle however fancy it is," Draco told her.

"So you are admitting now that you dated Pansy then?" Hermione surmised.

"Let's not talk about that, alright? We came here to have dinner," Draco hissed irritatedly, which shut her up. He called the waiter to pour them drinks and to order their food.

They ate silently but after a few minutes, Draco couldn't take it anymore. "I'm sorry," he told her, staring into her brown orbs.

She stared at him uninterestedly at first, but sighed after a few seconds since she could not bear to be mad at him. "Alright," she replied curtly.

Draco gave her a charming smile, disarming her. "How's the food?" He asked conversationally, the gloominess lifting.

"It's good, really good," she replied, giving him a small smile.

They were already eating dessert, a vanilla ice cream for Hermione, while an apple pie for Draco, when Hermione was surprised to find something hard on her otherwise plain dessert.

Draco was looking seriously at his girlfriend, seeing her confused features.

Hermione took the napkin from her lap and put it on her lips, spitting out the foreign material from her mouth. Of course, she thought, her suspicion was correct, it felt like a ring was inside her mouth moments ago, and it was definitely a ring on the napkin now. The engagement ring Draco had tried to give her was sitting prettily on her dinner napkin.

"Draco," she sighed, shaking her head, a mixture of annoyance and amusement coursing through her. "You don't give up, do you?" She asked simply.

"Of course not, darling," he replied, smirking at her as he slowly got up from his chair. He moved towards her, then bend down on one knee beside her, taking the ring from the napkin.

Hermione could see the other guests watching them, some wore curious smiles, while others watched uninterestedly.

"Hermione, I love you so much, and I want you to be mine forever. Darling, would you marry me?" Draco asked in a husky voice, grey eyes boring onto hers, while his hands envelopes her small hands.

"Oh, Draco," she started, still undecided on what to tell him.

"Please, just say yes," he pleaded, squeezing her hands lightly. He could not take it if she say no, especially when there are others watching, even if they are strangers, his pride would definitely be wounded.

Against her better judgment, she decided it was for the best. "Yes, Draco, I will marry you," she replied finally. She will just have to make sure he will be willing to compromise.

"Hermione! You make me so happy," he exclaimed, releasing the breath he was holding. He gently slipped the ring on her finger, kissing it afterwards. He stood up and gave her a tight embrace.

"We will talk about my conditions later," she whispered to him, knowing she needed to have the upper hand on the decision making if it will work for the both of them.

"Of course," he replied happily, giving her a lingering kiss on the lips.
