Chapter 23: Gem Drill

i looked outside and i saw two cats like humping lmaoo

so then i started shipping random things

not like i do that all the time

ahahah... like that time with the microwave and the freezer

now that i think of it, the microwave and freezer reminds me of ruby and sapphire

the ship is both hot and cool at the same time *wink wonk*

that motivated me to start writing again b/c I'm horny

"Well, great." Peridot sighed. 

"Peridot, don't take me home." I grumbled. 

"Why would I? I don't even know where you live." 

I laughed and then stopped quickly when I saw that Peridot wore a slightly irritated face. "Are you sure this isn't one of those tiny earthquakes? They happen like, consistently, we just can't feel them. At least that's what my kindergartener teacher told me." 

"Positive! That's why we were building the drill... IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Peridot shouted. I put my arms up in defense.

 "Okay, okay, geez!" 

There was a long silence before I decided to break the ice (*punches Sapphi's gem* O MY DARK HUMOR KILL ME NOW... Hah, now that I think of it, I actually wrote a small sad fic about Ruby and Sapphire). 

"Hey Peri, are we all gonna die?" I asked. 

"Hm?" she replied, not really listening. "Are we all gonna die? I mean, from all the stories I heard, if we-- Uh, you guys-- Don't act quickly, the cluster will tear apart the Earth and we'll all die." I said. 

"Well, we will if we don't destroy it." Peridot replied in a low voice. "Oh. So what is the plan anyway?" 

"We built the drill. We're going to drill it." 

The ground started to rumble again. I thought it would stop soon, but it just continuously shook. "Uh, Peri?" I nervously called. "I know, I know! Steven, hurry up!" she screeched, "Get to the drill!" 

"Wait, I'm coming?" my eyes twinkled. 

"Yeah, whatever, just GO, GO, GO!" 

I felt all giddy as I actually was going on a very important gem mission. So important that the world might end... I shivered.

I climbed up the ladder, Peridot following behind me, as we approached the drill. I climbed into the drill before realizing that Steven was still asleep. (Why would you leave him behind XD) "What about Steven-"

Steven bolted awake with an, "Ah!" He quickly scanned the area, the ground was shaking violently and was cracking. 

"If you're done just lying there, maybe it's about time that we stop the world from ending! Where are the others?" Peridot exclaimed. 

"They're stuck on Mask Island. We have to drill without them!" Steven explained.

"Ugh! Am I the only one who understands the meaning of teamwork?! Okay, Steven, are you ready to drill down into the planet to depths never before reached by your species to stop the Cluster before it forms and save your world?!" Peridot asked seriously.
