*hides Steven Universe shirt, Garnet wig, taped-on Lapis Lazuli gem, fan-made Pearl spear that I made outta sticks, paint, and cardboard, Jasper face-paint, Lion plush, painted yellow Peridot visors, and Amethyst leggings that I cut stars out of* (I actually did this with my friend, Cyndi. She's the creator of Rhyolite. Rhyolite isn't my gemsona, hehe~)

(F/n) POV
I whipped my head around and screamed before calming down. "...You've gotta stop sneaking up on me like that." I mumbled. Steven laughed. "What you did there was pretty cool though!" I blushed and smiled.
"Thanks!"
"You should totally go on missions with us!" Steven exclaimed.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah! ...But after we defeat the cluster. That's more important right now." he replied.
"Yeah..." I trailed off, rubbing the back of my neck. I watched in silence as Steven enclosed the yellow gem in a pink bubble. Steven moved his hands like he was making a weird gesture, causing the gem to vanish, probably to the Burning Room.
"Hey, wanna hang out at the barn?" Steven asked. I nodded, grinning. "Sure, lets go!"

When we got to the barn, Peridot was pointing to some stuff on a blackboard while the rest of the gems listened. "...so we'll be able to drill into the Earth- hello, Steven, (F/n)- and then drill into those gem shards, successfully putting an end to the cluster!" Peridot exclaimed, gesturing to the green drill-like machine.
Steven and I sat down on the white mat. (I s2g I sort of sound like Peridot and/or Amethyst if i'm doing an impression of them... Sorry, random outburst) Pearl nodded, "Yes, but how are we all gonna fit inside-"
Pearl was cut off by Steven's soft snores. I smiled and patted his head. The question was avoided since we all were distracted by sleeping Steven. I 'aww'ed and continued to just silently listen on the gems' conversation.
About thirty minutes later, Steven suddenly bolted awake. He panted and sweat slid down from his forehead. "Oops, sorry, did I wake you?" I asked, knitting my eyebrows together in a worried state. I wouldn't be surprised if I did; I had been squirming around a lot.
"Didn't you feel that?" Peridot hissed. "Feel what?" Amethyst asked, her mouth full of sandwich (I forgot if she was eating a sandwich. I just remember she spat out food or something XD). "The ground shook. This could be the start of the emergence of the Cluster. Stage one: slight tremors every quarter hour. Stage two: full scale earthquakes. Stage three: the Earth is destroyed! We're running out of time. We need to drill right now!" Peridot exclaimed.
"No, it's Malachite!" Steven shouted.
"Malachite?!" the gems gasped.
"What." Peridot said flatly.
"Malachite? Isn't she that freaky fusion of Jasper and Lapis Lazuli who wants to kill you guys?" I shivered. Steven nodded, "Yeah! I was on Mask Island. I was in a Watermelon Steven. They have a lovely community, but Malachite, she was there!" he cried. We all fell silent until Amethyst coughed out a bite of her sandwich.
"Lapis Lazuli is losing control. Soon Jasper will overpower her and Malachite will be loose." Garnet said.
"Who knows what sort of destruction an unstable fusion like Malachite could cause!" Pearl gasped.
"Alright, Gems. Pearl, Amethyst and I will warp to Mask Island. Steven, it's too dangerous for you. Stay here and watch the drill with Peridot. Take (F/n) home!" Garnet ordered, "Let's go, Gems! To the nearest warp pad!"
"To the nearest warp pad!" Pearl and Amethyst declared in sync.
"So... Lazuli has Jasper trapped in a fusion? You're joking me." Peridot muttered. "It's true! But Lapis must be getting tired from fighting Jasper for so long." Steven replied.
"Just being on a ship with Jasper made me tired." Peridot said. The ground suddenly shook, causing me to fall over.
"Whoa!" I squealed as my butt made contact with the ground.
"Are you alright?" Steven asked, helping me up. I nodded.
The ground trembled once more. "Ah! I gotta help them! But they told me it was too dangerous." Steven pouted.
"Why don't you just disobey them? Rebel. Isn't that, like, your guys' thing?" Peridot asked. "You're right." Steven mumbled.
"Oh, oh, dude! l have an idea! Just fall asleep and go into a Watermelon Steven, or whatever those things are, again! By doing so, you can help the gems and be safe at the same time!" I exclaimed.
"Great idea, (F/n)!" Steven grinned.
"Heheheh..." I giggled, blushing. Steven lied down on the ground. "Peridot, take (F/n) home. Bye, I love you guys!" he exclaimed before immediately snoring.
"Don't just leave me here with her!" Peridot whined.
"Aw, what? I gotta go home?!" I cried, blushing a bit at the 'I love you' part.
