The boy, kyle ran at me with what seemed to be electricity curled into a ball in his palm. I dodged left before being lifted into the air by invisible strings.

I shot a glare at the red head, Bane before being hurled into the thickery.

"Bane, how much longer do you think she'll last?" Kyle said while stalking what he probably thought was menacingly towards me. But really, with the look on his face, he looked kinda silly.

"Long enough to kill you probably." Bane grumbled under his breath. Theyre constantly throwing jabs at each other.

Scrambling off the ground, I shook my head and focused. Grabbing my bat, I raced towards Kyle but before I got close enough to hit him, the other one grabed me.

Twirling me around he shoved his knee into my stomche repeatedly.

I already had noticeable bruises, I don't need any internal ones. My knees wanted to give out but I knew that if I fell down, it all would be over. Kaz would get captured and Niko would be taken and I have to stop that.

Clenching my teeth, I sucked up the pain and brought my bat around and clipped his shoulder, buying me enough time to scramble away.

Kyle glared at me. Making his brown eyes turn electric blue. The look sent a chill down my spine. That was all i could process before he ran at me.

Seeing him heading my way, I turned and ran with all my might. But it was in vain. While I could outrun Kyle, I couldn't Bane. He shot forward and tackled me to the ground.

I let out a yelp when he slammed his knee in my back.

"You killed my brother. Now I'll kill you slowly, painfully." He grabbed a handful of my hair and gave it a Yank, forcing me to meet his crazy eyed glare.

He turned and gave a curt nod to Kyle, who in turned smiled creepily and ran up to us. He picked up my bat lying by my side and slammed it down in my ankle. The same one I had hurt when i jumped out the window. It made a sickening sound upon impact, followed by a nauseating feeling in stomach.

I tried to hold the scream in. I didn't want kaz to freak nor Niko to cry. But damn it if one did escape my mouth as one of them nudge my foot by smacking it with my bat. The second time they smacked it brought tears to my eyes.

"That was such a lovely sound. Maybe we should break another one?"

I squeezed my eyes shut, not caring that doing so released some tears. If they kill me, I'm just glad we've strayed too far away for Kaz and Niko to watch.

A second ticked by and then another without any pain. I waited another few seconds before taking a peek at the two holding me down. Bane sat on my back his knee to my spine. Kyle stood with my bat. Both were looking up at something.

Following their gaze, I froze, shocked. No way.

The once clear sky was full, not with clouds but ice sickles. All pointing downards.

My body acted. Almost as if someone was whispering directions in my head. I pulled my arm back and slammed my fist into Bane's nose. It made a sickening sound and I knew I had broken it.

While he released a string of curses, I focused on a ball of light that I conjured up and hurled it at Kyle, buying me enough time to run as far from them as I could before the ice sickles fell to the ground.

When they did, they fell with such force that it destroyed the top few layers of the ground and sent dust flying in the air.

Even before it cleared, I knew the outcome when I heard the music slowly filtering through my head. Someone's gone.
