Turns out I melted the snow when I healed Zeik. Light is a variation of Fire essence although they don't have the same weakness, nor the same strengths they give the same by product, heat.

It's interesting to think like that. My wind compliments his fire but so does my light. We really are stuck together. Not that I mind or anything. I'm positive he wouldn't have just left me on my own anyway. Even if he wanted to, I can be just as stubborn as he is.

As of right now, Kaz is supposedly meeting with his brother and one of my sisters. At least he's smart enough to leave Niko here or we would've had some problems.

"Are you sure these people are trustworthy? This is the same person who practically threw Niko in the dumpster." Alex sits next to me with a frown.

"It's not that I trust them, but I trust Kaz and if he says it's okay, then it's okay." After all we've been through, it's impossible to not trust Kaz. "With that said, if I ever get the displeasure of meeting her, I'll slap her hard in the face, three times. Once for you, one for me. And one for Niko."

"Don't you think your letting your feelings get in the way of your judgement. Sure she made a mistake, there's no need to hate her." Zeik says from my left.

"It's not what she did, it's what she wanted to do. And I don't hate her. I don't even know her. But if she doesn't realize how wrong she was to even think that, someone has to make her see it. "

"Exactly!" Alex chirps. "We don't hate her, but if she got hit by a bus, I'd be driving that bus." Alex sends an evil look towards Zeik.

I stiffle my laugh as Zeik just shakes his head. "What the hell is wrong with you?" He says in a joking manor.

"You'd run her over with a bus? Why not a car or plane better yet, a train." Elliot chimes in, not even the least bit surprised.

"Can we stop talking about the creature that gave birth to Niko. She's not important and He'll wake up soon."

Right on cue, Niko starts stirring on my lap. He rubs his eyes groggily and looks up at me. "Havy me hungry."

I can't help the smile that spread on my face. "I'm hungry too. Kaz left food in the fridge." I hop of the couch and carry Niko to his chair. Then, I pop the stack of left over French toast in the microwave.

I've been waiting to eat with Niko, since he won't eat unless someone else is eating with him. I never once thought that 2 year olds had to have someone's attention. Recently, whenever I'm doing something that's not about Niko, he gets fussy. I have to wonder if it's because she's in town. I wouldn't be surprised if he's craving attention because she's nearby. One thing I've learned is that little kids aren't stupid. Nikos smart, he knows when something's off. And he knows when people he doesn't like are around.

Not saying he doesn't like her or anything but intuition tells me he's not fond of her. I wonder if he's even seen  her in person. And how can he talk to her through dreams? So many questions.

The microwave beeps, bringing me out of my thoughts. I grab the plate and I take four off the top, leaving Niko with two. I cover his in honey while I put cinnamon maple syrup on mine. We eat together in silence, until we starts making faces for no reason once so ever.

At times like these, I forget that there's impending doom lurking over us. With the snow out of the way, what's his face will be preparing to attack. Kaz needs to rest up so we can take him down.

I had just finished wiping up the sticky honey mess Niko made when someone tapped on the door.

"So you're saying we're not gonna get to meet our little sister?" Two pairs of green eyes watch me.

"Not right now, you can't." If Valerie knew how much Haven disliked Victoria she'd  force them to meet.

Victoria sits beside her quiet. She probably already knows why Haven doesn't want to meet her. She's always been perceptive about these things.

A smile crosses her face. "She's attached to him, the baby, I mean."

"Well I can't say he's a baby anymore but yeah. At this point I'm positive She's his favorite person in the world." Nikohlas always has to have Haven's attention. Maybe it was the ear infection or something else, but he clings to her ever second of everyday.

"So, this is where you all wondered off to."
Taj came into the shop followed by Kade.

I never thought that when Victoria and Taj volunteered to help out, they'd bring the whole gang.

Kaden spoke as he took a seat by Valerie. "We spotted some Whittlers heading out towards eastward about 30 minutes ago."

Valerie frowned and looked at me. "What's eastward?"

"I'm not quite sure." Standing up, I go to the window. Glancing east, all that was visible was the mountain where Ireanseus is. Then realization dawned and my blood boiled.

Haven and Niko are in that direction. And she used high levels of intense magic just last night. Every Hunter within 100 miles could probably detect the exact location.

I took a deep breath, hoping to control the anger that filtered through my veins. It didn't work. How could I have been so stupid to forget about the hunters. Instead of watching Haven heal the puppy, I should have done something to reduce the chances of her essence being detected.

"We need to get going"

Sorry about the late update. I could give you an excuse but why do that? I completely forgot about it all together.

I hope you enjoyed.
